Appraisal 2008
This is my 2nd time appraisal in my current company. I did not expect too much since company share price down by more than half in less than 4 months. Will have to wait 1-2 years for stock price to go up before I will go and start to purchase company shares. Today my boss ask me to see him and to review the performance. Nothing special my overall appraisal is almost same as last year except 2007 I completed more tasks (10 together) in compared to 2006. Finally when it goes to salary increment and RSU (employees stock).
I was surprised increment was better than last year by a bit but I get the full % instead of pro-rata last year. Am satisfied with the appraisal and the additional stocks I get from RSU. Seems that employees given more RSU now since they remove the ESOP from this new quarter and only given to senior management. I am fine with this as the market value is always higher than what I get if I sell these shares. How time flies.

One nice thing today is I met new friends. First I was introduce to Gina (Fang's friend) where we share cab to SATS family day. After reach there around 30 mins didi gf arrive with cousin. Frst time I met her. She is a nice lady also from Malaysia and we had quite a bit of common things to chat about. Her cousin is so cute and young only 18.

SATS Family Day - 1
Was invited to attend SATS family day 2008 at Changi. I have never attended such events before. It was really great to have such opportunity once in a while. Were there from 11.30am to 6 pm. Fang and her friend left at 2 pm as they went for T3 visit. I stay on with Jermaine as she has submitted her art for competition and results only announce at around 4 pm. Daniel gave his lucky draw present to Jermaine. (Jermaine asked me to check the list of lucky draw winners and made sure Daniel gave her the lucky draw present he promised :) )

Some might not know that I was being 'sa bo' into joining IT idol in 2004 in my previous company. Some of my colleagues wrote a program to vote multiple and I had about 2000 votes in compared to others mostly below 1000. I was shocked and as a committee I am not suppose to join competition but my ex-boss organizer of IT dinner and idol competition, allowed the exception because no female who participated.
Out of 6 finalists I got 3rd placing :)

Chinese movie review - Empress and warriors
Have been waiting for this movie ever since I heard about it not due to Leon Lai or Kelly Chen but more because I am big fan of Donnie Yan. He is the next action star I like after Jet Li. Macho looking actor. Well this movie did not disappoint me though ending was not what I expected.
My ratings for movie:
Entertainment : 4.0 stars (like the part Donnie train princess how to fight and how princess come to know Leon Lai pretty romantic)
Story : 3.0 stars (story is kinda ordinary war and olden time chinese)
Acting (include Kungfu) : 4.0 stars (the kungfu and war fights are pretty good)

Ichiban sushi (AMK Hub)
I walk around AMK hub trying to find a restaurant to eat yesterday as I have tried most of them except a few. Decided on eating Japanese at Ichiban Sushi. The environment was nice after much thought I order chawanmushi and salmon rice. This salmon rice costs $9.90 come with free soup and salad. Finish soup and salad but only 3/4 of rice. Do not want to finish all. Taste not bad but not as good as the MOF rice which is smaller portion and $2 cheaper but this is more worth in terms of quantity.

Farewell lunch for consultant
Photo of my indian colleague he was in office when I join in 2006. Not long after his first child was born and now his son is 2 years old how time flies. He and his family migrating to Australia. His wife, a dentist is already there with son. He will be going after. I have another chinese colleague whom both children studying in Australia and wife it there taking care of them. He said maybe he might move there later depending on the job etc.
We have farewell lunch at Eatz Yishun Safra. Only took photo of the dessert mango cake quite nice but a bit hard. I order mix of salmon and sirloin(well done) and finish everything. Also order appetizers. Its been long time I have not had so much food so I am skipping dinner tonight. Tomorrow I have my training so its pretty safe.

Color my hair and treatment
Felt my hair was too dry after rebonding, as requested by hairstylist to go back this week to do hair coloring (well I have a lot of white hair these days) and I chose some dark tones with red base. Hope it looks well. Taken a photo of it. Hairstylist said that though my hair is dry but scalp is oily. Hmm honestly I dunno how to settle this problem my colleague told me rebond hair must apply more conditioner. I have some better one and apply it but did not apply on my scalp so dunno how come scalp more oily. :P I was really tired today hopefully can have early rest.

Working environment and people around you
I am glad and happy to work in my current company. There are many more nice people than "irritating" and people in my company in Singapore so far have not met any difficult people. But I do face some issues with my own module PA in the US. When I first join this company we email each other she seems helpful and nice. Even when I met her for training in 2006, she was a petite Asian American and nice. But I always wonder why she was different when we correspond after I kinda 'graduated' from training and she likes to belittle me at times and sometimes put blames on me by her 'assumptions' without even clarifying with me.
I always wonder why people behave this way? There are times I felt like not sending her any emails even if I am not sure of some of the ERP system functionalities since there are so many customizations I cannot tell sometimes if the functionality is system standard. I had to check with others. So I will try asking Principal developer instead. In fact most of the male colleagues in US are really nice and helpful. Especially the ones I had to work with often.
Just recently I was suppose to takeover a new support from her. Training suppose to start in March but somehow instead of sending to me 2 other people were invited for training. Yet I have responded using her 1st email that I am available anytime from following week. Yet a few days has past the other 2 person has not responded yet she sent another email asking same thing again. I did not reply instead I ask the main user to reply. Due to closing he was too tight up and did not reply to her. Just yesterday out of sudden she kept chasing me and ask me why I never responded to her invitation. She was waiting for ME to start the handover. But she told me earlier that one of the other 2 are important as part of the steps will be taken over by him and NOT ME. I am confused.
Why then I get blame for not replying to her email after more than a week when I had replied her previous mail. The other 2 did not even reply any of her mails. Finally training was arranged with me today but after I forward to inform the main user who suppose to be sharing the support with me, he requested to change it to next week. Well his email proves that I am not guilty. In the first place if the meeting is to invite ONLY ME why on earth there are 2 more PARTIES in the TO email ?? And why only question me and CC my boss when I am not the only attendees that should attend. Why not she just ask me attend and give training to the other 2 if I am only one responsible?
Sigh, I really wonder. Is it because I am too nice, or too easy to get bully? Well she seems nice in person. Perhaps its always miscomm in emails. Or its her mood swings, when she feel like it she dump it on me coz I kinda indirectly reports to her on projects. There are many times she mad me very 'sick' of corresponding to her I just refuse to email her for long time. Each time when this happens my mood is greatly affected but thanks to my other nice colleagues here, I could not be bothered. I have nice team coworkers and users to work with. Why be bothered by one individual who gets mad and shoot me whenever she feel like it, I just can ignore the emails :P

AI7 results - shocking bottom 3
Tonight I watch AI7 results show while working at home. I am shocked to find out besides Chickazee the other 2 a bit surprising though. Was expecting Carly to be bottom 3 instead and perhaps the other could be Kristy or someone else but not the black girl Syesha. Really shocking thank God Syesha still around next week.

WL has been in Beijing more than once but his actual promotion in Beijing has been postpone to mid April. Meanwhile WLFC is busy arranging for a coming fans meeting so we are really happy about this coming event. Am already excited as its about 1.5 years we last have a gathering.
Some of the blue angels found a few China bloggers who has either listen to his songs or met him personally, would like to share more about the information here.
The blogger drew comparison between "wo zhi shi xiang yao" and "pu tong de ren" and felt the songs can relate to his/her story.

Hot news - Taiwan YZW real character?
Well these days always news about Xing Guang Bang. Recently been really busy with work so tired no time go checkout entertainment news. Today go Ba Gua a bit and saw latest news about YZW. Honestly though he can sing but I still have doubt in his character. I personally find that he is 'bu jian dan' plus there are just too much rumours about him. Here I just read this and honestly am not surprise. To me the % of the news being real is 80%.

SYESHA - Another week of great performance, nice voice
BROOKE WHITE - A minor mistake in the beginning but later nice and soothingvoice. She start to get better towards later of the song nice !
MICHAEL - The first week I like his performance maybe due to the songshe chose are all nice and popular sounds like medley to me
DAVID A. - Just looking at him makes my worry goes away. A sweet boy with a great voice.Wow great ending ! Simon did not like it hehe.

Today while I prepare to go office after I complete testing. Was still sleepy and tired so I just take my size 30 jeans which I bought earlier to encourage myself to continue to loose weight to be able to fit in this jeans. Well, I can easily get into the jeans. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!
This size 30 jeans is very tight when I try it a month ago. Only can pull up to my thighs. Now not only I can fit in easily I do not feel that its tight at all. Very happy ! :)
Just an update on my weight loss. I lost another 1.7kg in March. Hoping to loose another 2 kg at least in April. Let's hope that my weight will continue to drop :)

Bad day at work March 25th
Why why why? Tell me why?
I believe my instruction is very straightfoward. All I asked for developer is to add one column of data to existing lookup. Why is it so difficult? My latest project not only change more than one developer but also I have to spend alot of my time to help debug the database view as well as troubleshoot errors which are not something within my jobscope. I am trying to be patient here but my 2 months project has become 5 months yet just rollout yesterday before even use cause another issue.
I have only 4 hours sleep last night as I have to work during US working hours with another developer to resolve issue. Its a bad day at work. I hope coming days will be better.

I was so glad I went to facebook to try to search for my 3 KL best friends. I tried searching for 3 names but found 2. One of them Mimi Tan I am confident is the friend I am looking for. The other Wai Sie Wong I am not too sure as there was no details to confirm except the country and name is same so I wrote an intro and ask if she was the friend I am looking for. I am so happy today she replied my message in facebook with an email I should email to. In my message, I explained how I lost my mobile end 2005 and lost all their contacts. The emails I have in my hotmail were all lost when I did not access my account for few months the system just purge all my mails and lock my accounts. Movie review - Fatal Move and The Orphanage
Past week catch following movies one which I felt was great and the other is a major disappointment.
Here are my review:
1) The Orphanage:
A horror movie which is both scary and sad. Scary due to the story about the haunted orphanage but sad about mother who lost her child whom she adopted and has HIV. Ending can be sad or happy depending on how we perceive the story. For me I would consider it as more of sad ending. Sorrow and lost felt sad for the mother. A movie to go for if u enjoy suspense and horror. Though the movie is in french but the subtitles enough to understand the storyline.
Entertainment (horror) : 4 stars
(the suspense of the movie to me was one of the great sell for this movie)
Story : 4 stars
Acting : 4 stars (thumbs up for the lead actress for being a great actress and managed
to convince the audience that she is indeed a mother who will do whatever it
takes to find her missing son)

(2) FATAL MOVE
So coincidence bump into Mike (my trainer at cinema, ran away quickly after he said hi to me. Saw his wife first time. She is a pretty Indian lady but he did not intro to me haha)
Have been eyeing this movie for sometime. I was looking forward to catch Samo Hung's fighting scenes like in the last movie SPL. I thought the same male actor (Yan Ji Dan) is in this movie but I made a mistake. Bought the ticket and expect the movie to be exciting in fighting scenes. But to my shock the movie is really stupid I wonder who the scriptwriter was. It is totally crappy and ending how the lead died is not acceptable to me. Finally ending there is one scene fight between Samo Hung and Wu Jin the guy who chop off his enemy's arm/fingers. Wah it ended with cut I did not see how he died. I wonder why all the bloody gruesome scenes were not cut yet they cut this scene where Samo killed Wu Jin. Then the ending how Simon Yam and the mistress and baby of Samo was being followed and finally dead is also something wierd to me. Basically almost all died at the end. I find the whole movie stupid and a waste of time.
The part where Samo confront his wife why she betrayed him is so long winded and boring and totally unnecessary. It was like watching one old couple talking about their marriage problems. I really get bored half way through the movie. Unless u have extra money else please do not watch this movie.
Entertainment : 2 stars (give extra points to Wu Jin's fighting scenes)
Story : 1 star
Acting : 3 stars (Tian Niu and Cheung Siu Fei acting were better in this movie)

SPOP Grand Finals 2008
Just back from SPOP Grand Finals. I was looking forward to this night not just because of WL but I felt it should be like concert so should pretty interesting. But then I see that the SPOP songwriters camp for the last 2 songs fans were so few. It is not comparable to PSS1 Grand Finals. So far PSS1 Grand Finals was the best, very crowded, qi fen very good and very grand. No one leave early as everyone was so excited and wanted to know the results and everyone was so high and scream and so happy when WL won. I believe this will never be able to return in next few competitions. We left around 10.40pm before JJ's final performances and results.
Meanwhile tonight there are a few performances that I really enjoyed besides WL and SH duet. Talking about foreign artistes, I was mesmerised by Li Sen Jie and it was the first time I seen him perform live, his voice reminds me of Jacky Cheung powerful. His real person looked much better than on photo and I truly enjoyed his performances of songs from his latest and last 2 albums. Besides him I am surprised Jam Hsiao has so many fans from Singapore. They sat right behind us. Anyway I find that my impression of him was right. He is so shy and man with few words when interviewed by Eric Moo and QYF. Anyway he has also powerful voice. He is the second foreign artiste I enjoyed performances. The others like Elva and Jonathan Lee to me is so-so. But Elva I like her butterfly looking dress.
Besides this the 2 final SPOP songs "Yue San" and "Fa Sao" am surprised the latter was written by Malaysian composer. Not because of this but I find I prefer the latter song so I voted twice for it. Hopefully it will win :)

This photo looks a bit wierd coz I take it using my hp. Anyway someone asked me how's my new hairstyle. I usually straighten it once a year. Last year I did not do it but wanted to do it since CNY but did not have chance. Manage to do it yesterday at salon opposite my block since it was raining and I cannot go anywhere. I was told not to tie or comb or wash my hair for at least 48 hours so that the straight can last longer and won't change.

Call from my mother
Tonight receive call from my mother. Did not call home last week was busy with work. My mum told me that dad was unwell previous week but now recovered. Last week was her turn. She was having cough and took slightly overdose of cough medicine which cause her stomach flu. Due to her age the stomach flu seems to have cause problems to her heart. After seeing special doctor now she is getting a bit better but better to rest at home.
May Our Lord Jesus bless my parents for good health and fast recovery! Amen !

Wow movie coming soon!

Well why I want to watch this movie biggest reason is Jet Li. I am his biggest fan for kungfu. This followed by the latest famous kungfu actor Yan Ji Dan. These 2 I sure go to see their movies. The last Jet Li movie I watch was the one he act like a dog for his master. I watch it for the kungfu not so much for the storyline though. But I miss his last hollywood movie. This one is a must see. Besides Jet Li I want to watch this Jacky Chan for his funny acts. I actually not big fan of Jacky but I do enjoy the humorous side of him in movies like the Rush Hour 1-3.

Singer with voice I cannot stand
Recently I don't know why its so hype abt Xing Guang Bang. I understand about their 1st contest which I agree they have a few great singers but subsequently never bothered except looking at the GF results for their 2nd contest. But I never remember their names. Last year when I was in Taiwan in July, I manage to catch their Xing Guang 1 Grand Finals (repeat). There I watch the last 4 compete. But honestly on the singing department I am only attracted to Jam Hsiao and Yang Zhong Wei. I did download Yang's songs from china site to listen.
He is the 2nd singer than I was gan dong by singing after WL. If I compare them both have their way to gan dong audience and sang differently. This is my personal opinion : To me YZW sang in more 'ku' or in english 'sad' emotions. In comparison WL during competition sang songs which are sad in the lyrics and his voice sang in the tone that gan dong the audience. These days WL has improved his singing style and his voice is quite different from during the competition especially in cd. But if you listen live its still so nice and gan dong. But his voice is more clean and clear and less the 'ku' or sadness these days.
I listen YZW online for his latest cd. I don't know why do not really enjoy like it compared to listen to him sing famous songs like Pei Ban, Yue Tian and A-Mei's song (forgot title). For these songs he outsang the original singers. So I did not buy his 1st album. As for Jam Hsiao his voice is very powerful and he is only 20 when PK YZW so talented and he has this shy look. But again I do not follow their news. If I like I will buy cd but not interested to join their FC or get involved too much. Looking forward more to Jam's coming cd instead. For personality wise if YZW PK JH I give points to Jam instead haha. Let's see the cd who is better. Tomorrow night I shall see.
Almost forgot to talk about Yoga. Honestly Yoga is the one that I most dislike in Xing Guang 1 from the final 4 finalists when I catch on tv. Not only looks not impressive, his height and his emotional character who always cry cry and cry gave me the cry baby impression. And on his singing if he sing nicely and not trying to sing with some slang and make his voice purposely different and want to show he is different with this OVER method, I totally cannot stand it. Somehow when I see him sing I will switch to other channels. If I hear his voice over radio I will turn it off. I have nothing against him but he is just not the type with the voice I like or enjoy. Sorry to Yoga fans out there. I have nothing against the other top 3 though. Judy for instance is a very good dancer singing wise is average. But at least he has something different. Anyway recently Fang mei play Yoga's song on her blog and honestly that song is the one that made me most irritated. Each time I hear that my hair stands. I have to off the player when I go to her blog. (Hahaha).
Other famous singers that I dislike their voice or singing style :
1. Eason Chan (I just dunno why just cannot stand his voice but not as bad as Yoga)
2.Fantasia (AI3 winner) I am sorry to her fans out there she sings with a voice like a duck and she likes to scream her lungs out when sing even sing a normal song that does not require shouting. And she is the winner that I despise most as I wanted Jennifer Hudson to win. (HAHAHA)
3. SYZ (I only enjoy her singing english numbers. Cannot stand the method she use to sing chinese songs, so sorry but her's not as bad as Yoga and Eason)
IN SUMMARY,
I only enjoy listening to natural singers, meaning singers that are born with talent and having a natural voice. Those that are being trained with singing skills not born talent somehow I can tell from the way they sing and I do not like it. Usually I will like singers who sing naturally, sing with their hearts and does not try to act like someone or try to show off to others that they are excellent singers by turning and twisting their vocals and try be impressive. Sorry maybe I listen to music when I am a baby I can tell just by listening. Besides A-Mei, WL, Jam, YZW, Angela Chang, Carrie Underwood, recently I see this David A from the latest American idol top 10. He is another natural boy. Brooke White is another natural girl.

S-POP 23-March 2008
Wow another day I will be with other 30 plus WL fans at Singapore indoor stadium premier seats to watch Spop Grand Finals. Have been waiting for next WL performance for long time, really missed his LIVE performances. The last one I seen him live was end Jan for the Carlsberg CNY event and its been like 1.5 months ago. WL will be singing 3 duets with Sin Huey. Besides this I heard JJ will be singing opening with 200 of his fans (Wow !) Thank God WL not asked to get fans to sing with him else be shivering on stage hahahaah.
Other interesting performances would be Tanya Chua and Taiwan artistes whom I like such as Jam Hsiao and Li Sun Jie. I am curious how Jam looks like in person and Li Sun Jie is more for his live singing, I own all his cds (except latest still waiting for gaiban). But still none of them will attract me to go for their autograph signing events except for WL. Somehow only his autograph sessions I will make a point to go. I have been trying to make time go for Joi Chua's autograph signing last year but somehow missed it. This year I am waiting for her gai ban before get copy and see if I manage to go or not. I will only go for local singer's autograph session maybe because those overseas artistes sometimes over crowded will be crazy to go queue for so long plus most of the singers I have no interest to see them as I only like their songs. Pain in my left eye
Last night my whole body aching after the tough training by my trainer on wednesday. I was unable to sleep much so just had like 4-5 hours sleep and woke up around 7 am this morning. Wah I realised my left eye pain and I took the O2 skin orange eye mask and put on my eyes so that the pain can be ease.
It help a little but I still have problem trying to see things using my left eye. To my horror when I look at the mirror half of my left eye lid was swollen and red. It look like as if I had eye shadow.
I went to hair salon to have my hair rebond today. Was suppose to do it before CNY but just cannot find 3-4 hours to spare. So I end up checking my eye while I was at salon waiting and then applied few rounds of acne cream. Now its less pain but still a little bit swollen.

Wah this week results really surprise me. Though Amanda singing sometimes was not in pitch but she has unique looks and personality. Its not surprising she was bottom 3 this week but the Irish lady bottom 3?
Anyway I am hoping since last week for Kristy to leave why she is still around? Week after week at bottom 3. She better buck up else I believe next week she will finally leave us.

Today I had to be in office early to catch hold of my US working hours developers. I woke up around 5.40 am use AIM to chat with US developer then off I go after 6 am, I went downstairs to flag for a cab. While in the cab I noticew the driver was an old 'ah pek' in his 50s. Told driver I am going to Woodlands and there we started chating.
First he asked me how come I need to work so early. After explained I need to have conference with US hours colleagues, he then started to ask me my age and then what animal year I was born. He guess I was 6 years younger than my age :P
Then I realised he is trying to help me matchmake (gee) He started telling me how his two daughters married their husbands were through him. It seems that he met his eldest daughter's father in law while driving cab. Then they started talking and realised each other has an unmarried son and daughter and arranged for them to meet without telling their children the intention of the meeting session. So eldest daughter was married not long after that.
Then next goes 2nd daughter. He said he dislike his daughter's bf and encouraged her to breakup with him. After that he happen to meet his 2nd son in law while he drove him in his cab. After chatting they exchange number and there goes he arrange 2nd matchmaking session for his second daughter. He told me they are all fated and she was married then. Both his daughters have good job in finance industry.
Finally topic came back to me, I tried as much to refrain myself from sharing too much. First he guessed my age and said I believe you are XX and you should be quite a high earner for female. My guess is you are currently not attached yet am I right? I just said "Yes" without saying any other remarks. Then he started to tell me he can see I have a "Foo Xiang" means I have the look of "good wealth" something which good. And I should be careful who I marry in case I will marry someone who is less capable and has to depend on me for living. (Whoah !) I just "ah ah ah" did not want to say too much.
Then he said "You actually look good and I am sure can find someone. If you want I can help you if I happen to meet someone suitable" and then I realised he was staying opposite my block (Phew !) I wish I won't see him again and please I don't like matchmaking haha.

Didi ask me go see movie today so we went to see 9.30pm horror movie.
Glad that not go alone la this kinda movie cannot go so late and watch alone.
At first just us when we first go in cinema but later more people came (Thank God)
and end up 20-30 people in cinema so not too bad.
This is my rating for the movie. Its not bad actually especially for a local movie
but the ending is not expected. Honestly Fiona Xie is very extra in this movie.

I have been facebook member for about 6 months but never really understand why some people so crazy about it till yesterday. I started to learn how to play with fluff book and created my own artwork and submit to the art gallery. I also tried to hunt for easter eggs and just in 2 days I manage to find 33 easter eggs. Found 24 today and 9 yesterday.
Was so excited been playing with it for hours and I managed to make many friends worldwide. I also received lots of gifts from people I do not even know.

Managed to catch 3 movies this weekend. A bit siao but kinda felt stress whole week with 3 projects testing etc. Here is my review:
Horton (Dr Seuss's )
A nice heartwarming cartoon for family. A cute story and I like that little cute yellow hairy animal not sure what its call.
Story : 3.5
Entertainment : 3.5
Overall : 3.5/5

This movie if not for the special effects its pretty ordinary. I do enjoy the movie for the excitement, fights and most of all special effects. But the hero after the pretty gal was nothing new and I was not touch at all by the story. Rather I was more touch by the death of the hero's uncle (father's friend who raise him after father left the group) and how they fight the bad guys.

Step Up 2
I watched Step Up without remembering I actually seen it. Storyline is pretty ordinary but the dance moves really Wow !
I would say I love this more than the first one as there are more dancing involved and there are many dancers instead of just the main 2 in the first Step Up. Very entertained by the dance at the end of this movie. Totally mesmerized. If you are someone who love dance movies, this is the movie to go for.

Tonight went with Dawn for the Jeff Chang Symphony Concert. This concert at Max Pavilion reminds me of Wei Lian 2006 concert. We bought Category 2 ticket but was able to see clearly as we are at Block A5 and its 3rd row from front. It was full house and we saw many Jeff's overseas fans like from HK, Shanghai, Beijing and Taiwan besides local Singapore fans. Each brought their own lightings and some brought flowers to be presented to Jeff. Took a number of phones (Thank Dawn for helping me to take a picture of lightings from one Jeff Singapore fan).
The stage looked great and there were changing pictures of famous artiste's work. Nice symphony music from Nanyang students. Must give credit to the symphony team of musicians who played nice music. After they played Jeff's Kuang Rong song, Jeff came out to sing. He wore totally black costume and look slightly slimmer in compared to I last seen him in Zpop 2006. He change a number of costumes for this concert.
Honestly Dawn and myself have spent sometime commenting Jeff's terrible hairstyle, extremely thick and unnatural makeup and his costumes. So far only like his white and silver costume. The rest especially the blue/black and redish costumes do not suit him. His makeup made him look like old akuah and his hair really made him look damn old. And he did not maintain himself well, he look like have double chin and in compared to his photo in 2004 it was really miles away. Felt sad not able to see a more boyish and handsome Jeff. I personally find Jeff kinda too gentle in the way he talks on stage just like his voice so clear and high note. Closeup of the photos I took show that he has aged alot. He is 40 this year but he looked like older. In fact Jacky Cheung maintain really well and though Jeff was younger but look Jacky's age instead.

I have a number of his old albums but no longer have them as they are all spoilt now. Used to sing Jeff's new songs whenever I have the chance. Thing is I only listen his songs but never have the urge to watch him perform live till 2008.

Thanks to my beloved CV who ask me to try test my personality. She my best best friend in my ex company. Though our age gap is quite big but somehow we click maybe we both from Malaysia and PR in Singapore plus we have things in common to share. Miss the time we spend always eat dinner at Ang Mo Kio. Now she has a cute baby and we see each other less and less.
She is so cute baby. CV's daughter :)

Lunch gathering with ex colleagues
Today suppose to meet one ex-colleague for lunch then asked another current team colleague who previously work in same company as me so we suppose just 3 person go for lunch. But WM my colleague asked another 2 of her ex teammates along so we have 5. Again I asked another ex-teammate of mine and there were 6. This go on and one end up we have 8 people met up for lunch. One of them last minute unable to make it but another happen to bump into each other and make up the same number. We met at this Japanese restaurant at CWP basement.
My ex colleague the one who initiated this lunch gathering overlooked the time and thought we suppose to meet at 12.45pm. Ended up 7 of us were there earlier than him. It was fun to see each other again but too bad later my ex users the group of planners/CSO followed by another few HR people sat at 2 tables behind us. It was rather uncomfortable. Later my ex user came and asked if we are having secret meeting. She was also guessing that maybe someone will leave after this gathering? Walao we are just meeting for the first time since 2007 till now and the meeting is quite ad hoc and its just to chat and nothing more than that.
While eating I saw 3 of my current users came but they sat opposite and not together with us. Such a small world :P

Do take note this coming Singapore SPOP Grand Finals at Singapore Indoor Stadium 23-Mar-2008 (SUN) night, Wei Lian will be performing with other guest artistes and the SPOP finalists.
WLFC currently is trying to get tickets but will only know tickets availability next week. It will be only given to fans based on following priorities :
#1) WLFC members priority (those who are currently registered with WLFC and/or I have their contacts)
#2) Wei Lian fans who are not in WLFC.
#3) If we have extra tickets we will then allocate out to those not in WLFC and non-Wei Lian fans.

MOF - Japanese food
Last weekend tried the Japanese food and dessert at MOF. This is second time I am there. I love the desserts. Ordered the 2 chef recommendation. As for the rice I order salmon hot stone rice while the rest ordered Unagi hot stone. Didi trying to serve us food.

Went with my didi and mei to IT show 2008. Supposed to meet up few other frens but somehow all were either busy or have to spend time with family. I bought this notebook cooling fan for $22 original price $29. I previously bought my old one for $18 during offer but it spoilt just after a year. I only notice it few days ago when I find that the light was not on and my notebook seem very hot when I touch it. Didi bought a 2GB thumbdrive for $15.90. No mood to buy more as the crowd was scary everywhere we went also fullhouse.

This year the results been really bad for BN who lost 3 states majority to opposition party DAP, PAS and Keadilan (Anwar's party). Not only this, the parliament seats also BN lost the needed 2/3 majority. Opposition party has captured 1/3 of parliament seats. I am not surprised this happenmed as there has been many disatisfactions from public especially the Indians and some chinese past few years over the current PM and its ruling party, over many issues in the country.
I do personally hope after this Malaysian PM and government will focus on more improvements rather than merely just talks and not actions. Its time for the PM to step down and let the younger one to lead. Honestly I feel that he was less competent than PM Mahathir and has not been making enough improvements in Malaysia to run the country for another five years.
Let's wait and see what coming 2008 will be happening after this history making.

Review of movie - The spiderwick chronicles
I really love watching chronicles movies. Have been eyeing this movie for sometime and read good review from newspapers and decided to catch it today after gym. The show for me never disappoint. It started with the divorced mother driving her 3 teenage children to an 80 years old house she inherited from her great aunt. Two of her sons were twins and oldest daughter. One of the twin was troubled by the sudden change and did not know that his dad left for another woman instead he blame it all on his mother. To avoid revealing too much of the story (leave it to you to watch), this kid learnt a great deal from the events that happen after they moved into the house where he found the BOOK left behind by his great uncle which no one is supposed to open and read it.
I was totally amused not by the storyline but by the special effects of this movie. The evil monster and toads were so real and scary. That little mouse like creature is also cute he can turn into something scary when he is angry and can only go back to norm by feeding him honey. This movie also touch on family, love and relationships. I was so touched by the ending and I actually felt the movie being alive and myself being a child enjoying such a wonderful fiction. There was excitement, adventure as well as love in this movie. A nice movie for family and children to enjoy. Suit people of all ages. I would like to praise the person who draw and created the little fairies. They looked so cute, lovely, colorful and alive. It was so lovely seeing them especially the scene where the 3 teenagers met with their aunt in the home where she was place as no one believed what she saw.

From my past experience having more male bosses in compared to female (Probability 7:5)
and more male immediate supervisors, I can say I prefer male bosses.
I listed 10 reasons why male bosses can be better than female. (Note this applies to my experience and not necesssary applied to everyone)
1. Place less personal feelings (emotion) in work place (Like volcano will abrupt every now and then when face with issues at home or with boy friend etc)
2. Less temperament when working under stress (Less verbal abuse, I have ex female bosses who scream at staff or interrogate them openly in front of other staff when she hear some negative rumour from others)
3. More trusting, do not interrogate staff for leave applications and suspect staff going for interview (eg. staff needs time to rest instead of unnecessary suspicious)
5. More caring to subordinates (chat with staff regularly to find out staff needs)
6. Do not go into minor details when review work performance (Some female bosses will remember staff's mistakes forever giving staff no opportunity to make any mistakes at all)
7. Look more into staff's quality of work not time spent (Most female bosses do not allow time off even if company policy allowed it and expect staff to start work according to fix office hours even if staff worked very late previous days)
8. Less possibility of contacting staff to chase for projects when on sick leave or vacation (Some things can wait)
9. More of a team player (less possibility of having preference for certain staff)
10. Less possibility of doing spot check on staff (causing stress to staff who needs own space to work)
So far 90% of my male bosses have at least 8 of above while more than 60% of my female bosses have 4 or less of above.
To be fair to female bosses I listed 4 reasons why I dislike male bosses. I do experience 2 pretty bad male supervisors and share them below.
1. Undecisive (always take long time to make decisions like hiring, increments etc in compared to female, gives excuse one after another and avoid staff's question when time comes)
2. Forgetful (though might not go into minor details but very forgetful about what he might have promised/instructed and change it later)
3. Powerless mouse (some male supervisors are merely good talker but when in management meeting were so quiet like mouse never try to fight for employees, in comparison many female supervisors are agressive and not afraid to speak out)
4. Stingy liars (some male supervisors can be stingy when come to pay package or salary increments, I have one ex male boss who promise me min of 30% pay increase if I work hard during interview but when time comes, I worked very hard and was given 15% increase and he even have the guts to ask me why I I accept the offer then and trust his words ??? Guess what he is Malaysian Indian. I trust myself not to report to Indian male bosses ever since. )

3. Powerless mouse (some male supervisors are merely good talker but when in management meeting were so quiet like mouse never try to fight for employees, in comparison many female supervisors are agressive and not afraid to speak out)
4. Stingy liars (some male supervisors can be stingy when come to pay package or salary increments, I have one ex male boss who promise me min of 30% pay increase if I work hard during interview but when time comes, I worked very hard and was given 15% increase and he even have the guts to ask me why I I accept the offer then and trust his words ??? Guess what he is Malaysian Indian. I trust myself not to report to Indian male bosses ever since. )

More photos from International Buffet RC appreciation lunch
Have taken quite a number of photos. Am glad was able to control myself from eating too much carbo. Instead I took alot of vegetables and seafood. Beef and chicken I only took very little.
Spent 2-2.5 hours eating slowly try to slowdown so can digest while eating. Did not take any rice nor potatoes. There is tepanyaki meat, fish, beef, lamb and vege. I only took small piece of fish with plenty of taugeh and vegetables.
One exotic soup "Crocodile meat soup" recommended by colleague to help people with asthma or cough. I tried just a few tablespoon but did not like the taste.
This is serve immediately when we sit down. "Little Buddha jump over the wall" more of soup. Very nice can refill from the buffet counter.
Special chinese 'xue yi' dessert must try.

My 2nd serving, the abalone salad superb. Took two small plate. The slice were thin.
My 3rd serving, took more prawns, vermicilli and crabs. Crabs hard to eat and flesh mostly I manage to only take half of the meat inside as very hard to dig flesh out.
Dessert. The cake with fruits not so nice only take small bite. The green tea cake was great. I took the green portion and left cream untouch.

Someone offer me this durian-coconut cake but don't like the taste, took just one small teaspoon to try
My colleague recommend us to try mix red wine with either fruit juice or cocktail. I mix it with
just cocktail and taste was amazingly great
