Wedding at Sentosa (Friday)
It was gathering for us instead of like wedding. Met so many ex-CSM colleagues. Some IT, users etc.

One of my close users Hoo even helped me carry my notebook telling me he wants to give me special customer service. Haha. I am dealing with CSM for work right now but still he was funny. When his actual user arrived, a planner from my company he give lots of excuses not to help her carry her bag. :)

It was a fun night. I finally met Chii Sy after we missed each other during my company trips whereby she did attend but we were not in the same flight.

Vivien and her 16 month old son

Wedding at Sentosa tonight
Haha many of you read this post title might be thinking its my wedding and NO I am not having my wedding at Sentosa tonight.

One of my colleague (used to be same team but now we under different bosses) who is also my ex-colleague from CSM is getting married. She is having the wedding at one of the well known Sentosa Hotels. I shall upload photos if I manage to get any good shots.

Its the first time I am attending wedding at Sentosa. I heard 8 tables for our company employees and probably same for CSM colleagues. I shall be meeting many ex-colleagues tonight.

P/S: Now me and my 2 other colleagues report to US boss and my ex-boss and 3 other colleagues move to another division in IT. A small reorg.

Burke crowned 'Dancing with the Stars' queen
Brooke and Derek (Winner)
Warren and Kym(Runnerup)

I am so happy to know my favourite Brooke and Warren got into top 2.
Though Warren my favourite of the two got second place but I am happy both did so well.

Warren though might not be the best dancer but he is very nice to look at
when he dance and he really make the people who watch him dance smile.
I really adore and will miss him dearly.

"The 37-year-old TV personality and mother of four dominated the seventh season of the popular ABC dancing competition and bested former NFL player Warren Sapp and former 'NSync member Lance Bass during the Tuesday night finale, in which she reprised an emotional Viennese waltz routine that earned her a perfect score from the show's panel of judges".

Horrible, Tiring and exhausting week
Ever since I am back from Taiwan vacation, it seems to me that I have not been able to enjoy the relaxation I had while in Taiwan. It was the most busy week this year and most tiring.
I have only 4-5 hours sleep daily, not sure why I just cannot sleep longer than that. I will wake up 4-5 am and cannot sleep so I will start watch video to pass time.

My biggest project this year has been kept reviewed by one reviewer then another. I did learn alot and thank the 2 reviewers for spending so much time but again I am really exhausted. I spent so much time working on the 40+ pages specs only to be told that its too lengthy and confusing. I finally reduce it to 32 pages.

After review by 2nd reviewer then I manage to cut it further to 29 pages. But in between we have remove some scope. Finally today the review is complete. I spent 4 hours working at home to get it done and finish final testing on another 2 smaller fixes.

Today 9.30am we have US CIO conference and now I have a new boss. My ex boss and 3 of my colleagues will be moved to a new division. Me and my 2 other colleagues will report to my ex boss's boss. So we know each other well but new boss is a lot more agressive and is in US HQ. So from now I have to work extra hard and be even more responsive than ever.

I would be even busier :(

Priest sentenced to 5 years probation
I have not heard such a sentence and offence that happen to priest before. In the first place what is this former Priest thinking? If he wants to jog without clothes can he jog at the garden behind his own house or church when no outsiders around?

Then now he went out jogging to show his naked body to people and try get sympathy and blame judge for loosing his job as a priest? If he is a godly person firstly he should not have taken priesthood as a job. He should be willing to serve God and his people and at the same time carry himself properly not exposing himself to others.

Read this !

A Catholic priest convicted of indecent exposure for jogging naked around a track at a high school has been sentenced to five years probation.

Rev. Robert Whipkey must also complete 100 hours of community service and register as a sex offender under the sentence handed down Thursday in Weld County District Court.
The Denver archdiocese said Whipkey, of Frederick, was placed on leave last year. He officiated at parishes in Frederick, Mead and Erie. He was arrested about an hour before sunrise on June 22, 2007.

Dressed in a blue shirt and slacks, Whipkey told Judge Timothy Kerns that the conviction has ruined his life and that he is unemployed.

Should we kill the white tigers after the zoo worker killed?
I bought copies of New Paper past few days to read the news of how the contract worker get himself killed by the near extinct white tigers.

I do not want to sound rude to the decease or siding the wild animals. But don't the worker after working so many years at the zoo aware what animals are not to be disturbed? If the zoo keepers are not allowed near the white tigers it seems to me that the animals must be wild and very dangerous.

Can someone explain why the worker jump into the closed area and then walk towards these wild animals? From the action in the video I strongly believe he is trying to do something kind of abnormal or silly. Did he intend to kill himself or was sick?

I for one will not agree to put these rare animals to death just because they are first caught by human and then place in zoo although they are known to be strong and fiercely dangerous.

Firstly zoo must try to implement more measures make sure they hire mentally strong and healthy workers. Make sure there are alarms at the danger zones if someone happen to go into these areas all the alarm would sound on for zoo keepers to be alert. Of course these alarms should not make the animals more afraid and attack out of nothing.

Hope family of the decease can understand and can live with the fact.

Beware of fake eggs from China !
What else would they think of next ?????

Fake Eggs from China ! (Shocking - must read .... )

Beware u guys and gals!
During a recent raid on a wholesale centre in Guangzhou City , the capital of China 's Guangdong province, a large quantity of fake eggs was seized. Their wholesale price is 0.15 yuan (S$0.03) each - half the price of a real egg.
Consumers have a hard time telling a genuine egg from a fake one. This is good news for unscrupulous entrepreneurs, who are even conducting three-day courses in the production of artificial eggs for less than S$150.

A reporter with Hong Kong-based Chinese magazine EastWeek enrolled in one such course.
To create egg white, the instructor - a woman in her 20s - used assorted ingredients such as gelatin, an unknown powder, benzoic acid, coagulating material and even alum, which is normally used for industrial processes.

For egg yolk, some lemon-yellow colouring powder is mixed to a liquid and the concoction stirred. The liquid is then poured into a round-shaped plastic mould and mixed with so-called 'magic water', which contains calcium chloride.

This gives the 'yolk' a thin outer membrane, firming it up. The egg is then shaped with a mould. The shell is not forgotten. Paraffin wax and an unidentified white liquid are poured onto the fake egg, which is then left to dry.

The artificial egg can be fried sunny-side up or steamed. Although bubbles appear on the white of the egg, those who have tasted it say the fake stuff tastes very much like the real thing ..

But experts warn of the danger of eating fake eggs. Not only do they not contain any nutrients, a HongKong Chinese University professor warned that long-term consumption of alum could cause dementia or mental disease .

To make the egg white, various ingredients, including a powder and alum, are mixed together.

The 'yolk' is shaped in the round mould... 'Magic water' containing calcium chloride is used.

Hardy shells are formed by pouring paraffin wax and a liquid onto the egg, which are then left to dry.

UNBELIEVABLE ?? BELIEVE IT ! Just make sure the eggs you have at breakfast are REAL ones..

Dancing with the stars (US) season 7: Semi finalists
I am so happy that my favourite male and female stars are in Semifinals next week.

Brooke and Warren Bravo ! All the best hope to see both of you in Finals week after.

Brooke dance like a professional. In comparison she has nothing for me to criticize always elegant but overall I prefer Warren. A 300lb man who could dance so well. I love to see his smile and its so much fun watching him. I do hope Warren can get runnerup if not overall champion. He has so much charisma.

I predict the young chap could be out as I find him unable to dance naturally for serious ballroom dancing though he is cute :) As for Lance he improved greatly but some of the dance he dance a bit "girlie" sorry no offence.

Go Warren Brooke! Go !

Melody TW visit Singapore
WLFC Taiwan fan Melody visit Singapore on 9th Nov and had to leave on 10th for JB. While she is in Singapore, Grace and myself help her and her friend San (from Malaysia) bring them around Singapore. As Melody has things to leave at MC reception, I met her there and then Grace picked us and took San to get her bus ticket to KL.

We started later by visiting her at their Hotel in Chinatown. Then one of Melody's Singapore friend brought us to nearby Chinatown hawker center to have lunch. We ordered quite a number of dishes. Then we get the 2 ladies luggages from hotel and off go to Orchard. While on the way Melody got a call that her MC drama idol friend that T is available and can meet up with her and San. So there we go Orchard to do some shopping then off go to Raffles City. Later it happen venue change and there goes T fren brought us to the specified locationto meet him ( edited to prevent any misunderstanding. Melody TW is main fan helping w T's blog somewhat like moderator and this is private arrangement not MC related).

Its not my first time see T. But its first time so close. I even shake hands with him. He was so much taller in person and nice to fans. Though I not big fan but after that meeting I have good impression of him. Then later the night we had dinner at Melban Seafood Restaurant at AMK near my place. HP came to join us. It was great time we had. After such a great meal we went to Mcdonalds meet up with Melody's last friend in Singapore who used to work at MC. There they exchange gifts and not long after we part ways.

Nice to see Melody again after last Taipei Trip.
Hope she enjoyed her Malaysia vacation.

Busy again after my Taipei vacation - :(
Seems my vacation is short lived. After a great week when back I still having holiday mood for about 2-3 days. Now back to work and work really hard. Super sian. Why can't I enjoy having holiday mood for a little longer? Well more emails coming, developers looking for me and bosses and so on and so on.

With bad times coming, I should not be complaining. I have friends who resign because force to and also those who were chosen to be the batch to let go by employer. Those who are having job now, do prepare in case worst things happen. Let's all hope the crisis will be over by 2010.

Day 4 - Taipei ~ Taichung

Melody told me its best to overnight at taichung to visit the popular tourist sites. As we just plan to go one day trip sightseeing and try food at Taichung so we decided to go one day trip. We took MRT to Taipei Main station and transfer to HSR (High speed railway). It took just about an hour to Taichung and we can get free bus ride to Taichung city.

Taichung city has many nice condos and tall buildings and looked more modern. Taipei has many condos/apartments but they are mostly dull colors like grey or brownish. We went to one of its newest shopping mall that has nice design and also visit one pet shop. Saw the cutest brown poodle.

After walking in the shopping mall for over an hour we stopby 7-11 to get drinks and some light food as we skip lunch earlier. Then we try to find bus stop to wait for bus to famous Taichung night market but waited for 10 mins no sign of bus we ended up take cab to the place. The night market according to people we asked has more than one street. Due to time constraint we went to just one.

We had many nice food there and after that we took cab back to HSR station only to find out that there is earthquake at Tainan and our 7.15 pm train will be delayed but we are just right for the train just arrived which was delayed 22 mins due to earthquake.
