Started with his good friend Jason Tan came out with Nokia phone. DJ Jia Hui request audience volunteer to compete for this phone. Contestant has to sing WL songs continuously. Whoever can continuously sing different songs will win. (Note each only require to sing like 2 lines of each song).
Blue Angels teenagers DJ Dixon and Jun Xian both went up stage as seems TP students were shy. (Note the auditorium was full earlier queue outside was long). Finally after competing Jun Xian won the Nokia HP. Next WL came out to perform songs in between Jia Hui ask WL some questions and he crack some jokes. WL look young due to his dressing look great ! Songs sang:I love You, PTDR, With guitar "Ching Ai De Juo Ge Hao Meng" and final song "Beautiful girl". In between WL was presented by BA 2 bouquet of flowers and another big bouquet from TP. Overall it was heart warming and enjoyable.
This afternoon at Suntec City Fountain of Wealth, Kelvin Tan held a autograph session for his second album, i.Weilian. The already outspoken Kelvin, after many "trainings" from his promotion events in Taiwan and Hong Kong, became more calm in his performance.
Several fans were already there two hours before the actual event to occupy a perfect place to see Kelvin. What is surprising is that, apart from the young fans present, even elderly fans in the 60s and 70s and even a child around 1 year old were present. The child's mother states that the moment she plays Kelvin's songs, her child will move to the beat. Though the inconvenience in carrying the child at the autograph session for several hours, she insists on bringing the child there so as to not miss their idol's performance.
At the most front row stands a fan aged 62 year old. She states that she had never stopped supporting Kelvin, ever since the Project Superstar competition. She had first agreed on an interview, but after I lent her my mirror, she thought that her present state was not very good and she thus was scared that she will not look good on video, and she changed her decision about the interview at the last minute. (Regret lending her my mirror)
After much hoping for Kelvin to appear, the main lead of the autograph session, Kelvin Tan finally appeared, leading to a wave of fans cheering for him warmly. He had actually arrived at Suntec City very early, but he was resting in the office. Due to his early presence, fans there were not in great numbers, leading to Kelvin worrying that there will not be much people. Though the worries, the fact shows that he worried too much!
Surprisingly, Jason, Project Superstar contestant, appeared at the autograph session. According to the publicity unit, Jason often helps Kelvin with his makeup and hair. Jason, who has disappeared for some time, is still charismatic and also dresses up very fashionably. Having a old-friend helping with the makeup, not only is there an additional touch of trust and humour, much cordiality was also present, which is especially important to the visually handicapped Kelvin.
As for Kelvin Tan's obstacles in his vision helping him gain the notice of overseas fans and media, as long as he faces everything with generosity and open-mindedness, he can transform his shortcoming to his advantages.
STAGE:
WLFC present heart pillow with "I love you" when WL sang "I love you"
Here it is the video taken by BA Stella on the latest advert of the gai ban cd. Love the new cd cover and so happy there are 3 extra songs included. Though old songs but really love them 60s, 70s and 80s. One of them english song Beautiful Girl really bonus for us fans.
I have heard so much about the US drama series Heroes from friends and manage to watch it after copy the videos from HP. After keeping for few months finally now I have the time to catch it. From episodes 1 to 3 I was totally not enjoying any minute. It was draggy, slow each episode kept repeating the previous. Too much repeatance.
I believe scriptwriter or the producer's fault why need to drag the show till so long now I am at episode 11. Its slightly better now since the heroes have met one another. But I am still a bit "confused" about the storyline. The heroes esp HIRO kept travelling between his present and future. And in future he bumps into a different HIRO (from future).
Then the bad guy who killed Mahendran's father (did I spell correctly?) and the brothers who can fly. I just cannot understand why each time they show the brothers its always Peter fainted, in hospital or trying to fly. Its just too many heroes and too many time travelling. I begin to find resemblance between Heroes and Lost. Probably when reach episode 20 I would be totally LOST and stop watching.
Anyway I will persevere and give myself chance to watch till ending. But till now I can only understand why though this drama was famous but there are many reviewers who did not like the show. Maybe I belong to this group. My preference still drama like Grey Anatomy, police stories like Law and Order SVU/CI, CSI series, Bones, The Closer etc..............
I can give those series 4/5 stars but Heroes for now I can only give 3 stars. Maybe I will give 2 stars if till episode 20 I still do not enjoy and find it confusing.
Throughout the whole HK trip I am the only one least interested in taking photos. For once I see HP had a lot of fun and enjoying all the photo takings plus taking others but I was rather loosing much interest to appear in photos. But I was in many group ones but hardly any solo.
This photo taken secretly by Grace after a few failed attempts when I realise she was trying to take me with my beautiful hair style before I go to bed. Well, I have very long hair and its pretty hot in Hong Kong. After back from long trip outside I felt very warm so I clip my hair. At home no one ever notice my special clip hair style but somehow its rare in Singapore.
This is one of my favourite. Grace is a fan of this veteran HK actor name "Loh Lok Lum" he acted in many old kung fu dramas previously from ATV now TVB actor. He was so nice to walk all the way from his table to take group photos with us. Amazingly he can speak fluent English. Thanks again to HP who went to request him to take photos with us and he was happy to know he has fans from Singapore :)
"Da Niu" knows me and Grace from Mediacorp recordings for PSS1. How time flies. We like brother and sister and I refer him as my didi.
Grace know me from Mediacorp forum since mid 2005. That time we chat from the forum then she later join WL yahoo group and we met at Mediacorp recordings. Well more than 2 years liao how time flies. Now she has a super cute baby girl. So happy this trip able to take so many photos with Grace and "Da Niu" its like a reunion.
Since so many of us females going for this HK trip, we went shop alot la. But never buy any branded goods but mainly go to "Lui Yen Kai" etc to shop cheap stuff. Some of the items super cheap. I bot a lot cds for half the price in Singapore. Everyone look at me disbelief. The second most expensive item I bought (mainly due to qty bot 10 boxes) is face mask imported from Korea. On average its abt SGD1.50 for 1 pc. I saw recently at a shop in AMK selling for SGD3.50 each. Gave a few to friends and colleagues and used it for myself too! Bought from SASA HK. Well, this is the only item I spend that much over SGD100 during this trip.
One of my friends Grace here have own dreams to own some property in future in HK, she asked HP to take this photo of her here cannot recall which street is this but don't she look like Business woman in this photo? In this photo it looks like she own this building. Haha.
The girls "fight" tickling and pushing around haha.
Well this is very funny photos taken by HP. We are having this so called "fight" in the room. Then I was trying to pinch "Da Niu". Being male in the trip really disadvantage, besides have to listen to the gals, have to also help carry stuff (not for me but for Fang...........) also have to get all the punch and pinch. Ha Ha Ha !
Wah followed by getting crush using the mattress again. So chamlah this "Da Niu".
Exposing the "Torturer" below. You can see another gal trying to crush "Da Niu". Who else but................................. wahahahaha !
This group of siao people at the HK MTR Prince Edward station. What are we doing? Posing funny poses for the camera. My friends here all so crazy about photo taking, I am so happy to announce that for the first time I took less than 50 photos for an overseas vacation.
At Changi Airport, while on the way to the SQ boarding gate, maybe Changi staff aware WL fans going to Hong Kong, there are so many pots of beautiful sunflowers. I got Hui Ping to agree to snap the flowers for me. (Thanks HP !) Ever since WL's latest album taken with Sunflowers, I start to love this yellow beautiful flowers. Its so wonderful. Am so happy to share the photos.
Past week I have been really sick down with flu and cough. Whole month of October has been really busy and crazy with holidaying in Hong Kong (Oct 5th to 8th with WLFC friends, votings for Singapore chinese charts and many other stuff. Its really very very busy month. Did not really contact any friends. When I was back from Hong Kong Oct 8th, I arrive home around 9 pm. Tried to contact Chan Chan but seem unable to reach her. Told myself I must call her again. Next day I tried again unable to reach her, following thatit seems that I am bogged down with work forgot about it till mid-October when I was later confirmed with Novyta she has left for Germany. Well, as usual my short memory.
After somewhere mid-October bad news from my ex colleague Cecilia whom informed me through sms that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I am really shocked. She was so health conscious, always exercise, go regular medical checkups. Sad............. I tried to contact her but was asked not to due to inconvenience. Well, as usual I have really short memory. Later I was busy with stuff in office and WLFC activities forgot LOL. Finally when I recover from flu remind myself to check on Cecilia, well seemed that it was too late. I received this sad sms on Sunday 10/11 night that Cecilia has left us to be with the Lord :(
I was rather angry at myself for not remembering to contact Cecilia before it was too late.
Cecilia, I pray to the Lord that you will be in peace, I will always remember you the great time we spent in CSM. Thank the Lord for our wonderful friendship.
Today I sent a message to Chan Chan. She replied me with the link to her blog. Its amazing, now everyone has personal blog. I can get updates from her through her blog. Have added the link to this blog :)
Well, I cannot imagine having such a small washing machine. Is it really a washing machine? Look like blender to me :P
Chan Chan take care of yourself ok? You are alone in a foreign land. I read about your new jobscope. Not to worry before I work in BRCM, I was told I had to handle B2B projects. Now I am working 1.5 years in this new company but I am still only worked on EDI projects nothing on B2B as yet. Supporting Peoplesoft ERP initially was a bit alien to me as totally different platform, very web. But after 3 months it seems slowly I am able to adapt to the new software. If I go back to support Oracle ERP I believe I have to start all over again.
If I am a few years younger I believe I will take the challenge to work further in Europe or US. But now, I believe I won't want to travel any further than Singapore.
This is indeed great news for Wei Lian and Kelly fans. Finally two of them appearing together on Taiwan variety show. After further check and help from Taiwan Melody, we believe the program should be :
Sorry I was sick with flu and cough for few days and did not update my blog for quite a while. Now I am almost completely recovered and shall update more news related to Superstar Wei Lian.
If music be the food of love, play on. This is a blog where I share with people about myself and my favourite Singaporean Singer Kelvin Tan Wei Lian. All who are my friends, colleagues and family are welcome to come to my blog and get update here. I am part of Kelvin Tan's FC who is named the Blue Angels since he won PSS1 in 2005
