This is good news for the Chinese people, I personally thank God for this piece of news. Madam Stone better think carefully before giving any comments openly when people are suffering and trying to overcome disaster.
Sharon Stone is facing a ban on the showing of her films in China after suggesting the recent earthquake that killed up to 67,000 people may have been the result of "bad karma" over the country's occupation of Tibet.
Stone, 50, who was speaking to reporters at the Cannes film festival, criticised the Chinese government's actions in Tibet and directly linked them to the disaster:
"I've been concerned about how should we deal with the Olympics, because they are not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine," she said.
"And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma - when you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"
A YouTube video of Stone making the comments has provoked fury amongst the online community and angered members of the Chinese film industry. Ng See-Yuen, chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Film-makers and the founder of the UME Cineplex chain, told The Beijing Times that her comments were "inappropriate" and that his cinema chain, which has a strong presence in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, would no longer screen any films starring the actor.
The PR company for cosmetics giant Christian Dior has also taken action against Stone by removing images of the actor promoting the company's products from department stores across Beijing.
The ban may be something of a blessing for Chinese movie-goers. The Year of Getting to Know Us, the first of Stone's films to be affected by the ban, has been described by a user of the internet film site IMDb as "one of the five worst films I have seen in my lifetime".
In the recent interview, Sharon also revealed she cried when she received a letter from the Tibetan Foundation asking her to help the victims of the earthquake.
She added: "They wanted to go and be helpful, and that made me cry. It was a big lesson to me that sometimes you have to learn to put your head down and be of service even to people who aren't nice to you."
The 'Basic Instinct' star's comments have caused massive controversy worldwide, and have spurned at least one website dedicated solely to attacking the actress.
Sharon has four movies being released between now and 2010 - including 'Streets of Blood', 'Five Dollars a Day' and 'The Year of Getting to Know Us'.
So fast day is approaching closer to 31-May where I am scheduled to fly direct to US from Changi Airport.

Today happen to eat at Sembawang Plaza right outside there is cd shop. I went in to check if the single cd for donation to China earthquake victims is available and I got one copy for $10. Just like to lend my support.
CD cover was simple with 2 hands one adult and one child touching. The title was "do not let go" in chinese. Seems that the hands belong to a father and daughter. The mother was from Sichuan. 40 local artistes and singers lend their voice include Chen Jian Bing (Actor cum DJ), Hagen (PSS1), Cai Si Ni (PSS1), Ke Wei, etc.
I came across this photo and to my horror there are people who actually eat this 'food' which to us are consider rotten and unhealthy. What is in the pot? Its dead rats and rotten fruit called "Cassava".
May 27 (Bloomberg) -- Chinese troops prepared to blast barriers caused by the country's deadliest earthquake in 32 years to drain lakes that are threatening to burst and inundate towns trying to recover from the disaster.
About 600 military engineers and soldiers were working on the barrier that created the lake upstream from Beichuan in Sichuan province by 9 p.m. local time yesterday, state-run Xinhua News Agency said. Bulldozers and other digging equipment were flown in and officials are preparing to evacuate people.
``Around 100,000 would be evacuated to ensure their safety according to the current drainage plan,'' Liu Ning, the Ministry of Water Resources chief engineer, was cited as saying.
The Tangjiashan lake is one of 35 created by the earthquake on May 12 that killed 65,080 people and left 23,150 missing, according to figures released yesterday by the government. The earthquake devastated highways and roads throughout mountainous eastern Sichuan, forcing soldiers and engineers to trek to areas such as Tangjiashan carrying dynamite and equipment.
The water level of Tangjiashan, the most dangerous of the quake lakes, rose 1.6 meters (5.2 feet) yesterday, Xinhua said. The lake was 725 meters deep and about 26 meters below the lowest part of the barrier, which was created when a part of a mountain collapsed into the Jianhe River.
As many as 1,800 engineers, soldiers and policemen are being sent to the barrier. Soldiers are bringing in 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of dynamite each to move as much as 100,000 tons of debris and drain the lake, Xinhua said.
Reinforcing Barriers
Engineers are also working to reinforce barriers downstream to prevent flooding when the water is released. About 687 kilometers of embankments throughout Sichuan need to be checked, Xinhua said.
Evacuation plans have been prepared for communities near 19 lakes, E. Jingping, deputy minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, said May 25. Sixty-nine reservoirs were also in ``immediate'' danger of bursting and measures, such as draining the worst-damaged constructions, are being taken.
Areas around the disaster zone may experience light rain through May 29, according to the China Meteorological Administration's forecast today. Sichuan's rainy season will start next month.
Aftershocks are disrupting relief work and bringing more rubble down from mountains. A magnitude-4.6 quake hit at 8:46 a.m. yesterday in the region, the U.S. Geological Survey said on its Web site. A 6-magnitude quake in the area on May 25 left at least 8 people dead, Xinhua said yesterday.
Delivering Tents
The 7.9-magnitude temblor two weeks ago left more than 5 million people homeless.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs has signed contracts with 75 enterprises to deliver 900,000 tents before June 20, it said in a statement late yesterday.
The ministry needs 4,000 tons of tarpaulin material to build about 800,000 temporary shelters. The civil affairs departments of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Beijing have donated 4,410 tons.
The government earlier called for 3.3 million tents and said it will build 1.5 million temporary houses for survivors.
The May 12 earthquake was the most powerful to hit China, the world's most populous country, since a magnitude 8.6 quake struck Tibet in 1950, killing 1,526 people. A 7.5 magnitude temblor in Tangshan in the northeast killed 250,000 in 1976, according to the USGS. China's seismology department said the Sichuan quake had a magnitude of 8.
This is really insensitive of Sharon Stone to say this when being interview. Suggest she go and study geography and history about China and Tibet before make own comments.
During an interview, Sharon Stone said she heard about the earthquake and she said it is interesting and she think that earthquake happened in China SiChuan province Wenchuan county is karma because she don't like what China did. and she stressed that dalailama is her friend.
btw: Wenchuan county is located in Aba autonomy region, Sichuan province. there are not only Han Chinese but also tibetan Chinese and qiang Chinese living in Aba autonomy region. the population of tibetan Chinese living in Aba autonomy region is 52.9%, qiang Chinese is 17.7%, hui Chinese is 3.2%, and Han Chinese is 26.6%
This is what I personally felt:
So many people died of this natural disaster and should not use this opportunity to say about China's victims and disaster which nothing to do with China's political stand point about Tibet. If want to talk about Karma (Since I am Christian I do not believe in this) but since she thinks so much about Karma and do good then what she said she better think properly if she will also get 'bao ying' for saying such insensitive things. She seems to be enjoying talking about it smiling and not a bit feel sympathy for the victims.
The girl Zhang Ya actual name is Gao Chian Hui (高千惠). She was taken to prison and investigated of her behaviour recently in the youtube video. Seems that her father has written letter to public to apologize for her behaviour and insensitiveness to the Sichuan victims. Seems she is not a teenager and is 21 years old girl from broken family.
Another news:
This is original tvbs news:
Suggest that she get herself updated and learn to have love and sympathy for the victims by visiting this site: http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=384721534
Zhang Ya is my daughter, I as her father did not teach her properly was my mistake. This child's ignorance that at the time of our country's suffering, she did one thing that made People of China unforgiving and unable to persevere. I know everyone will not forgive her, law will not forgive her but I hope you can understand as a parent's worry for child, I apologize to everyone, Sichuan's people, China's people, SORRY! Zhang Ya is now suffering from mentally stress, please, I beg all of you not to blame her anymore.
I give everyone my guarantee, give Sichuan people an explanation. After knowing this incident, Zhang Ya's mother is very worried, she cannot even work. Can everyone please forgive her? Me and her mother working outside for sometime, we have decided to return to Liao Ling. Beg everyone not to hurt her, this is a father's sincere apology to everyone and hope for his daughter.
Lastly for this unfilial daughter, in future we will do our utmost to guide and discipline her. Me and her mother have decided to donate our things to Sichuan victims. Hope everyone can go through this disaster. I kneel down to the Sichuan people ! I request everyone to look at this issue logically. Zhang Ya is just an ignorant child out of the many out there. For eg. disco dance group, etc internet has harm many youth out there. No matter whether you forgive her or not, we as parent in future will definitely increase disciplining her. We hope all of you will consider this issue sensitively, but I am not hoping all of you can forgive her.
Through this disaster, hopefully everyone will lend your hands and forgive this ignorant girl. Zhang Ya's error is due to us (her parents) not teach her well enough that she said such unforgiving things. This issue should be our responsibility and not her. Request to everyone not to look for her, I beg all of you !
我只希望现在能把这次的事件影响降低到最小,我希望大家都能够理智的不再骂人。
I hope now we can make this issue's impact small, I hope everyone can go back to their sense and stop scolding people.
四川的人民,对不起! 辽宁的兄弟姐妹们,对不起! 中国的老少爷们!对不起!
Sichuan People! Sorry! Liao Ling brother and sister! Sorry! China old and young people ! Sorry !
Watch the video and so many forumers criticism about us, I know I am wrong now. There would not be next time, won't dare to repeat this mistake, everyone can forgive me ? Do not look for me for trouble, thank you. Hope everyone can forgive me.
Reflect what I said horrible things about the victims of Sichuan Earthquake, now I felt very sad, really. How can I mend my mistakes so that all of you can forgive me? Today I also donated my savings from my pocket money to the victims. When recording that video, I did not think it will create so much impact and problems. Now I am afraid, I truly and sincerely seek for your forgiveness . Hope everyone do not hate me. In future I will focus on my studies and do it well and for the country. After knowing what I did, my parents cried for me. They are afraid for my safety, please everyone do not pass this thing around anymore, ok? I am just a girl.
Today I donated money, sunday go to donate blood, I will use action to express my sincere apology. Everyone please forgive me. Why did I come out at this late hour to apologize ? Many people use poisonous words and curse to attack me. No matter how wrong I am, do you think what you did is correct?
Three of us now are in suffering, at school a lot of students have seen the video. Now in school, we are being talk about everywhere we go. Yes, I am wrong, but I already get what I deserved. Now I only like to focus on my studies. I request all of you to let go of me, give me my space, ok? My school has donation activities, I am the one who donated the most in my class. I just want to take responsibility for the wrong hurtful things I said at the same time hope the victims can go back to normal peaceful life.
Almost 12 midnight, seen so many negative comments, my visions are not blurred you know? If you have so much time to scold me, why not spend more time to help the Earthquake victims. I sincerely apologize. But I still get such negative comments, do you think what you did is right?
Did you all think for my parents? If anything happen to me, do you understand how they would feel? Although I am just a girl and ignorant, but I do not want my parents who brought me up to suffer and sad, you all understand? Although apologize till 12 midnight till all of you forgive me, we will not make same mistakes again, we do not want this matter to go too serious, since things had happened, we will study well, in future do something for country. I believe this is the best thing to do, please everyone look at my actions.
I believe everyone has been my age before, do not enjoy sitting for pre-U exams, but like movie stars, this is normal. Maybe what I meant to be a joke has gone too far but from news I see about the Earthquake victims situation, I cried whole night, really, I really know my mistakes now.
Have manage to catch this movie last night and I totally enjoy the movie specially for the humor from the chemistry between Indiana Jones, his son and ex girl friend. Though it might not the best movie among the four series, but to me it was not the least of the four. It is between the first and the third installment. And I find the difference between this fourth installment and the other three was the alien and spaceship. It was pretty interesting and I do enjoy and looking forward for 5th if director planning for it.
Though Ford is much older now at his 60s but he still have a nice build. Other than his white hair and wrinkles, he still look good at his age and look more like 50s than 60s.
One scene was unbelievable that is the part Jones hid in fridge when atomic bomb goes off, the fridge was blown and flown out of the house yet he is still alive. But this part was one of the very funny scenes of the movie.
Review: Story : 4 stars (The alien invasion was pretty interesting) Entertainment: 4 stars (Special effects was great and director made the movie very believable that it was at that year) Acting : 4 stars (Ford, Shia LaBeouf (Jones Jr) and Kate Allen (Marion) very nice chemistry and added humor to the movie) ----------------------------- Overall : 4 stars ==================
My US office (HQ) does celebrate Family Day on large scale. They will arrange a celebration where staff can bring whole family to attend. There would be games, prizes and food all sponsored and will be officially off day. While in Singapore we do not have such. Last year we are lucky we got the extra gifts left over from US office sent to Singapore but we do not celebrate within organization. We are still required to work :(
Thanks to my colleague he got free movie tickets for "Indiana Jones (IV)" from our subcon (UTAC) and I was asked if I want extra tickets. So at the end he brought his wife and I managed to find another colleague who took 2 tickets and attended with her husband. So five of us went for movie. I have been long time fan of Indiana Jones and for free tickets with free popcorn and drinks I have nothing to complain :)
My colleague who gave me the tickets later invited me to join them for dinner after movie. Three of us went to have dinner at Chinatown after 9.30pm and realised most of the places stalls were already closed so we ate at a coffee shop ordered 3 dishes and 1 soup and had so called 'family' dinner together. Thank him and his wife for nice gesture maybe he knows I am alone in Singapore and since they are newly weds he invited me to join them for dinner.
Due to WL's unavailability tonight, he will not be appearing on tonight's Charity Gala event on Mediacorp Channel 8 tv. We can still support the Sichuan victims by calling the donation lines as below.
This girl so young yet so mad must be out of her mind, how can she curse and complain about victims in Sichuan Earthquake? She was sent to prison for such act. Just because she was unable to play internet for 3 days during China's 3 days mourning
Translation from one of the poster:
Clearer translation from Canadian chinese girl:
Video translation chinese to english:
She is saying it annoys her that so much attention is being paid to the earthquake victims. life is to enjoy and it's beautiful outside but all people care about is dead, homeless, and injured people. only poor people died. just about any hateful insensitive crazy thing you can say she is saying the earthquake in Sichuan was their own fault and people in Sichuan are being dramatic and stuff.
For all of her who dont understand, she is saying the ppl who died in the earthquack is a waste and the fact that ppl are mourning for them is wasting the beautiful days. She has no sympathy for the dead and actually depises them for getting all the donation. She wish the survivor dead becuz they are wasting our time.
She's saying she's annoyed at the attention the earthquake is getting. she says only poor people died who nobody cared about before. It's a beautiful day out and all people want to talk about is these dead poor people.
She is insulting and complaining about the victims of the Sichuan earthquake incident. Her insults include, those people who are dying should just die to save us the She is saying bad things about the Earthquake victims in China, she is a spoiled brat. I understand she has been arrested today. They should make her go there and help the people that are without shelter.
Just months ago I watch few episodes of Dancing with Stars US (S05) and was surprised Marie Osmond (youngest in Osmond's family) can dance so well and she has loose a lot of weight since I last see her in another talent program probably 2 years back. Then I recall I seen her on tv when I was little girl. Her family was as famous as the Jackson family just that they were white and probably older. Anyway Marie and her older brother Donny Osmond were so famous at that time, but I don't really know their older siblings but I really loved both of them. I recently bought Donny's latest album and their old album. Wow how time flies.......
I am going for the 50th Osmond's World Tour at Indoor Stadium ! Just happen to know they coming for concert bought ticket immediately, getting very excited now. Their concert was sold out everywhere they go.
I’ve been waiting for my dreams To turn into something I could believe in And looking for thatMagic rainbow On the horizon I couldn’t see it Until I let go Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn Now I’m coming alive Body and soul And feelin’ my world start to turn And I’ll taste every moment And live it out loud I know this is the time, This is the time To be more than a name Or a face in the crowd I know this is the time This is the time of my life Time of my life Holding onto things that vanished Into the airLeft me in pieces

Some of friends ask me what kind of job does Business/IT analyst does. Well my US manager sent us this link and I found this article which explains the job in detail by Katherine Walsh. Some of my friends have wrong impression that I support PC hardware or MS-office. These areas are common and easy to find IT staff to support since experience can come from classroom trainings unlike Business Analyst which requirements a significant amount of relevant experience and on the job trainings.
June 19, 2007 — CIO — job description: A business analyst (BA) provides a bridge between the business and IT, working with both sides to propose changes to processes and systems to meet the needs of the business. Carlo Carbetta, senior director of recruiting operations for staffing firm CIO Partners of Atlanta, says that a business analyst acts as a liaison between functional areas such as HR, finance, marketing and technical areas, like development. Many work with project managers and are involved with software development or process management, he says. new LinkedIn.CompanyInsiderPopup("in", "CIO Partners");
The business analyst is a hot commodity right now due to business reliance on technology, according to Jim McAssey, a principal at The W Group , a consulting firm. "The global delivery capabilities of technology today make the challenges of successfully bridging the gap [between business and IT] even harder," he says.
why you need one: Companies typically don't invest in an IT project without a solid business case, says Jeff Miller, senior vice president of Aetea , an IT staffing and consulting firm. A good business analyst is able to create a solution to a particular business problem and act as a bridge to the technologists who can make it happen. "Without the BA role, CIOs are at significant risk that their projects will not solve the business problem for which they were intended," says Miller. "This can cause project overruns, limited ROI or manual workarounds to meet business needs. The CIO also risks alienating his customers within the business if he fails to deliver solutions that target their needs."
desired skills: The ideal candidate will have five to 10 or more years of experience (preferably in a specific industry), a technical undergraduate degree and an MBA. Strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills are key, as is knowledge of the Rational Unified Process, a software development framework. Hands-on experience is critical. Look for BAs who have worked as programmers or analysts, or in development or quality assurance.
how to find them: Miller suggests conducting your search in an industry similar to your own. Good places to look are large companies with internal development teams or complex infrastructures. BAs can also come from academia, but such candidates may lack exposure to business processes.
what to look for: Good communication skills and attention to detail. Carbetta says a BA must be process driven and able to see a project through conflict and change, from start to finish. The BA also must have the ability to learn new processes, says Miller: "A good BA learns business concepts and can quickly relate them to the specific needs of the project."
News fresh from oven. David Cook won the AI7 beating Archulenta by 12 % votes. Quite a big margin in compared to AI2 Reuben vs Aiken by around 3% margin.
One thing is for certain: Both Davids will win record contracts with Sony-BMG, which signs the show's winners and popular runners-up, so they'll be OK either way.
I am disappointed though as based on GF performance Archulenta was ahead but voting is concern its hard to tell. It sure one thing that DC camp must have voted more since many predicted DA to win after GF performance.
Well will be waiting for both records when its out in market, lets see the album sales PK whose album can sell better.
Imagine there's no Heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too I magine all the people Living life in peace You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one
How time flies, I actually applied to study for my masters program in 2003 suppose to start March 2003 but due to SARs it was delayed and started only end June 2003. Classes ended early 2006 but I was given 6 months to a year to complete my thesis (counted from early 2005 I finally submitted final draft end Nov 2005 but no response from my Professor until I send 2 reminders early 2006) Finally I received an email from my Professor mid March 2006 that I pass my thesis on my first submission. Most of the students need to resubmit due to minor or major revisions but I only need to just do very little adjustments to my final draft. While preparing for my graduation, my professor sent me an email informing me of the good news. I was chosen to be the IBM award winner and top graduate for MBIT in 2006. Most interestingly among 16 graduates I was only female :)
I completed all courses on time and receive all passes on first submission. I never submit any course assignments late they are all either submitted early or on time. I am glad I took this course as I met many great coursemates from different ages and different backgrounds. Not all of them are from IT background. We have managers, administrators, developers, and many others. Below is extracted from SIM website. Sadly due to each others' work commitments we have not been catching up with each other for more than a year now. How I miss the time I spent with my team mates Mok Mun Yin, William Chew and Daniel Yap. Daniel being youngest graduated at age 29. When he register for course he was around 27.
This is extract of my testimonial for RMIT Australia website:
Master of Business Information Technology Graduate (2006) “The MBIT program has helped build my IT knowledge and improve my management skills. Before taking this program, I had little expertise in how to manage my work and staff appropriately. I enjoyed the company of my course mates who were working adults from different industries who helped me deal with relationships with my work colleagues. The MBIT program has a tough study schedule but it is designed to help students adapt to challenges faced in the real working world. I have nothing but praise for the program.”
I have my two professors to thank Prof Barry McIntyre and Prof Vass Karpathiao. They were very experience and great teachers.
This is indeed best news this week. My favourite and 2nd favourite as I have earlier hope for.
Kristi Y won and is the first female winner all 6 seasons. Yeah !
Jason runnerup.
Cristian 3rd place.
Congratulations to Kristi and Jason ! Bravo!
Ice queen Kristi Yamaguchi won “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night. It was the first victory for a female celebrity on the highly rated ABC show in three years.Yamaguchi called it “the icing on the cake” after being declared the ballroom champ.Think she’ll put her disco-ball trophy next to her Olympic gold medal in her display case? The outcome was satisfying, but not very surprising. All along, the figure skating champ was considered the favorite.
And her skills on the ice gave her an early advantage.Yamaguchi dominated the season with her precision and speed, although the judges frequently prodded her to warm up and show more passion. On Monday and Tuesday’s two-part finale, she and her pro partner, Mark Ballas, earned perfect scores for their three dances: the cha-cha, the freestyle and the jive.
As for the men, they were left out in the cold. Actor Cristian de la Fuente, who added drama this season by fighting back from an arm injury, finished in third place. Football star Jason Taylor, known for his charisma and clean lines, came in second.
Yamaguchi’s victory broke a long winning streak by the show’s male celebrities. The only other woman to reach first place, soap star Kelly Monaco, won the debut season in 2005, only to lose a rematch with actor John O’Hurley a few months later.
DAVID A. 1st song: Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
2nd song - In This Moment (New song)
Final song - Imagine
Personally I loved the song Imagine. I never really like this song by John Lennon but I absolutely loved the version sung by Archuleta.
DAVID COOK
Song 1 - I still have not found what I am looking for
Song 2 - Dream Big
Final song 3 - The World I know
Personally I find both Cook and Archuleta were great performers. Cook being more experienced and older was more flexible as he can sing rock and different genre. As for Archuleta he has a great voice and talented young man. It will be 50-50 chance of winning. As I prefer non-rock songs I still prefer Archuleta's performances giving him slight advantage over Cook. I find Cook might have chosen wrong song to be his final song as that song was slow and forgettable nothing like the songs he sang so well previously like Hello, etc. It was not as good as Archuleta's choice of 'Imagine' which I find is the best song I love this season.
“American Idol” kept insisting that tonight was a boxing match between David Cook and David Archuleta.
Really? Never before have two guys looked more mellow or seemed less likely to punch each other. But let’s go with it and see how the first half of the two-part finale played out.
Pre-fight: After some goofy business with boxing gloves and robes, the Davids come back in their regular clothes to greet the crowd. David A. says his rival is “awesome.” David C. says it’s all about having a good time now. Yeah, they’re ready to rumble.
Round one: The Clive Davis song choice. David C. is fairly Bono-riffic on a gravely rendition of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” He moves confidently around the ring, er, stage.
David A. unleashes a strong upper-cut with a soulful, intense “Don’t Let the Sun go Down on Me.” When the judges shower him with compliments, he gets all teary-eyed. Hey, there’s no crying in boxing!
Round two: The song competition. The guys each choose an entry from the “Idol” songwriting contest. David C. tries something called “Dream Big,” which sounds like an insurance jingle. Simon Cowell says it doesn’t seem like a winning moment. Isn’t that hitting below the belt?
David A. sings “In the Moment,” a syrupy, forgettable number. The judges must have a sweet tooth. Randy Jackson says David A. could sing the phone book at this point. Simon thinks it was definitely the better song choice. The kid still looks weepy.
Round three: Contestants’ choice. The Davids can sing whatever they want. David C. picks Collective Soul’s sensitive “The World I Know.” It’s not going to ring a bell with crucial older voters. Is he trying to throw the fight? Simon states the obvious: David C. should’ve repeated a past success like “Hello” or “Billie Jean.”
David A. brings back his version of “Imagine,” which wowed everyone in the early rounds. Simon declares it a knockout. Would someone please give David A. a handkerchief and a hug?
Post-fight: The show runs long to keep viewers from flipping to the “Dancing With the Stars” finale. Finally, some dirty fighting. Season two winner Ruben Studdard shows up to sing “Celebrate Me Home,” this season’s ballad for kicked-off contestants. Ruben reminds everyone why he beat Clay Aiken.
What happens now: If the viewers voted in agreement with the judges, David A. will be the new Idol (and David C. can become the next Chris Daughtry).
The winner will be announced Wednesday night on a two-hour episode that starts at 8 p.m. on Fox
Just catch this performance. As usual Jaclyn Victor (1st Malaysian idol) never fails. She gave me the same goosebumps as when I watch her perform first time. Just a little update I am one of the founder for her FC which we started after she won in 2004. I was actively involve until end 2005 as their committee and now I have resign and just a normal member.
As I usually managed the JACIAN FC forum and moderate it from Singapore I have only seen her real person perform for less than 5 times. First time was at Planet Hollywood Dec 2005 she perform for 3hours gig was fantastic. Many famous malay singers were there to support her. During the gig she introduce me to all the people attending and even gave me a goodbye kiss. She was a wonderful lady in person. Very bubbly.
Second time was at Singapore she was here to perform for live outdoor for Hari Raya in Sept 2006. Third time was for IKON Asia competition last July in KL. This year I have not seen any of her live performances yet. Hope I have another opportunity soon.
I just watch this series over weekend and totally hook up to it. I would recommend those who love sci-fi or Jurassic Park fans to watch it. I totally hook on to it and currently halfway through season 2.
Review from Season 1 (Episodes 1-6): Nick Cutter, Evolutionary Zoologist, finds himself confronted with the subject of his studies in a way he could never have imagined. Prompted by the enthusiasm of his graduate student Connor Temple, Cutter and lab technician Stephen Hart go to investigate strange animal sightings in the Forest of Dean. Close by, Abby Maitland, a zoo animal handler, is discovering the forest is home to a very strange pet. Could a lizard picked up by a young boy be an entirely new species? Claudia Brown, Civil Servant, hopes Cutter will dismiss the sightings. However, he's reluctant to oblige. There's more than professional intrigue behind his investigations; eight years ago his wife disappeared from the heart of the forest.
Cutter invites Claudia to join the search, and they find a petrified Abby face to face with Scutosaurus – a giant beast from the Permian Era of 250 million years ago. Abby's convinced the Scutosaurus is “pure veggie”, so what's behind the sickening sight of a dead cow hauled high into a tree? The young boy's tales of a monster at his window confirm Cutter's worst fears. A savage Gorgonopsid – one of the most dangerous predators of the Permian Era – is on the loose. Only Stephen's bravery manages to stop the boy and his teacher becoming its next meal.
Where are these creatures coming from? The Scutosaurus leads the team to the answer: a shimmering in the air, a distortion in the light and suddenly the Scutosaurus disappears before them. A rip in time – an anomaly – that leads back to prehistoric times. Cutter is determined to make the trip through, convinced that the answer to his wife's disappearance could lie on the other side.
Cutter starts to suspect that Helen knew about the anomaly. While everyone presumes the discovery of her camera, millions of years in the past, confirms her death, Cutter is developing a different theory. But for now, he's keeping his speculations to himself.Lester is growing increasingly sceptical of Cutter, but Claudia's defends him as their only expert and Lester agrees to keep him involved... for now.
Emotions run high, and Lester suspects Claudia has ulterior motives for keeping Cutter onboard. Meanwhile, Abby's hoping that Stephen might start to see her as more than just an ‘animal expert'. Similarly, Connor tries to win Abby over with a night's camping, following up a top ‘dinosaur-sighting' lead. His hopes for adventure fail dramatically, while creatures of the very real variety start to invade the London Underground.
In the labyrinth of tunnels, SAS soldiers come under attack from giant spiders and are forced to retreat. But when Cutter and his team head down to investigate, they find something far more ferocious waiting for them: A huge, slithering, fifteen-foot beast, a vicious ancestor of the millipede – an Arthropleura.
Stephen and Abby escape, but Cutter becomes lost in a maze of underground passages. Stephen returns Abby to safety and makes a desperate attempt to rescue his old friend from the fangs of Arthropleura but is attacked himself. Waiting to die, in his poison induced delirium, he thinks he sees Helen; and she has a message for Cutter. Cutter is desperate to make Lester realise the seriousness of the situation, but he remains infuriatingly optimistic, hoping that this problem will disappear as quickly as it arrived. But he's not in luck.
The arrival of a vicious sea creature, a Mosasaur, at a local pool is bad news for a pair of young lifeguards. The boy becomes the Mosasaur's next meal and the girl is charged with his murder. However, Cutter realises the truth when the boy's regurgitated body is found in a nearby reservoir; they've got a prehistoric killer in their waters.
The anomaly has moved from the swimming pool to the depths of the reservoir. A diver is lost into the darkness of the anomaly, and another Mosasaur is unleashed and attacks Abby. Will Connor find the strength to protect her? And where will the anomaly move to next?
Cutter thinks the anomaly is running along a kind of temporal fault line, but Lester is quick to dismiss his ideas. Meanwhile a young mother (who lives along the predicted line) is in the basement when she notices a small leak, which quickly turns into a flood. She sends a plumber down to investigate, but a creature from the Cretaceous is waiting, ready to pounce. Helen Cutter, now in custody at the Home Office, is refusing to co-operate. She is the only one who understands how the anomalies work, but for now she's keeping her secrets safe. Besides, they have more pressing issues to deal with – a new anomaly has opened and Helen can show them where. If they're quick they might just be able to stop the next incursion.
Claudia dislikes Helen, but puts her scepticism aside, giving Helen the chance to redeem herself. But instead of helping, Helen uses the anomaly to escape, leaving in her wake a flock of dodos! Contrary to reputation, these birds are far from harmless as Connor's suspicious friends discover. Connor's secret life, full of late night excursions, is really starting to bug Tom and Duncan. They set out on a mission to discover what's going on. They steal a dodo, unaware that it's carrying a deadly parasite. With one bite, Tom is infected. Can the others find him before a pandemic is unleashed?
Tom finds himself struggling with an urge to attack people. A staunch conspiracy theorist, he seeks out Abby for answers. A frantic race ensues to find Abby before it's too late. Culminating as the dangerous reality of the anomalies hits Connor hard. Is he strong enough to go on?
Lester piles the pressure, but Cutter has no neat solutions for the enigma of the anomalies. Claudia is stuck in the middle, torn between her head and her heart. Meanwhile, Connor moves onto Abby's sofa, and is sure it's only a matter of time before she succumbs to his charms. Unfortunately, she still has her eye on Stephen, despite their proclamations of a platonic friendship.
The discovery of a murdered golfer and an anomaly in the sky poses a whole host of new problems. Soon they spot their aerial killer. A huge Pteranodon, with a wingspan of forty feet, swoops straight for Connor. But as Special Forces aim to shoot, Cutter pushes the gun away, much to Claudia's frustration.
The Pteranodon escapes and the truth is revealed. Rex, the prehistoric pet kept by Abby was with Connor, his presence attracted the Pteranodon, and he's now lost somewhere in the hotel grounds. Tensions between the group become strained. But thanks to Stephen, the Pteranodon is caught and tranquilized – but not before Claudia is knocked out by it's flailing wing. Waking up in the medical unit, Claudia is terrified to find she has temporarily lost her sight.
Deep in the undergrowth, Abby and Connor, searching for Rex, come across a sinister sight. Surrounding a stripped carcass sit a pack of small, vicious Agnurognathus with razor sharp teeth. Scared for their lives, Abby and Connor are relieved when the Pterosaurs suddenly take off. Helen returns claiming to know the reason behind a recent spate of disappearances - a dangerous predator is amongst them, claiming its victims for food. This beast is unlike any other, It is from the future.
Tracking this highly intelligent animal pushes our team to its limits. At its lair they find a squirming nest of babies and the parent predator, desperate to protect its young, is close behind. A furious fight ensues. With the creature finally dead, Helen makes a plea to save the babies. She wants to use them to find the future anomaly. Their homing instincts could lead the way.
Lester agrees – if they can locate the wormhole, then he can attempt to secure it. But first, the team must travel back to the Permian Era through the re-opened anomaly in the Forest of Dean. This is where the future predator came through and as Cutter soon discovers, its arrival was no accident.
Cutter and Helen's journey into the past is full of danger and treachery. The remaining parent of the screeching babies has suddenly appeared and is upon them. But this beast has clearly never encountered an ancient Gorgonopsid before. As the most powerful creatures from past and future battle it out, our team escape back into the present. But the surprises don't end there. Helen has one final blow to deliver. She's returning to prehistoric times but this time, she doesn't want to go it alone. Secrets from the past are exposed in an explosive showdown.

AI7 both my favourite 2 Davids Archuleta and Cook. Which will win? A or C? Honestly both are great in my eyes I like both but A is much cuter and sang mostly touching songs which I loved. Well I do hope A will win though I am not going to be sad if A did not win.
These few days the news of the rescue and conditions in China Earthquake was very disheartening. My heart goes out to those victims especially the children who were now orphaned, adults who lost family members/children and those who are now handicap after being rescued from the aftermath of terrible earthquake. This goes to Myanmar as well which their govt is reluctant to receive any help for their victims.
Those who would like to help in contributing donations or any other help can refer to Singapore red cross website.
This is Cristian and Cheryl best dance a huge jump after Cristian had major injury on his right arm pending surgery. These are from last week (Week 8) performance which is their best as well.
This is my hot hot favourite former ice skating female world champion. She has been tops for first 6 weeks in a row drop to no 2 spot for week 7 and 8 and finally 9th week (this week) she regain top spot.
Let us all come together to pray for the victims that they will be able to go back to their homes and continue their normal life. Pray that more people will be saved and less casualties in coming days.
MIENYANG, China (CNN) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Thursday ordered 90 more helicopters for rescue missions in Sichuan province, adding urgency to the massive relief operations under way since Monday's devastating earthquake.
Rescuers carry the injured from the quake-stricken town of Yingxiu Wednesday in Sichuan province.
1 of 3more photos » As mudslides, debris and fallen rocks blocked rescuers and aid workers from China's quake-hit areas, Wen ordered 90 more helicopters to the region, Xinhua reported.
Since the 7.9-magnitude quake struck Monday, China has dispatched 20 choppers for dropping food and water, transporting the injured and delivering rescuers, Xinhua reported. Thursday's order brings the total to 110.
Rescuers continued their attempts to save those trapped beneath the rubble at schools, businesses and homes.
Aftershocks at times forced rescuers to turn away from the fallen buildings, leaving crowds frustrated without knowing the fate of loved ones. Video from one disaster scene shows a woman clinging to a crane after rescuers suspended a mission at a crumbled building, deeming the site to dangerous to enter.
But there were scattered stories of survival. A 3-year-old girl was rescued from beneath a toppled building in Sichuan's Beichuan County on Thursday, Xinhua said. Photos of the rescue showed the girl sustained a leg injury, but was otherwise alert.
A frightened seventh-grade girl was pulled safely from the rubble of a school dormitory Wednesday evening -- 50 hours after she was buried by Monday's earthquake, state-run media said.
China ramped up its rescue effort in the earthquake-hit southwest on Thursday, where more than 40,000 people lay dead or buried under rubble and time was running out to save the living.
As rescue teams worked round the clock, a new threat emerged from creaking dams and reservoirs in the disaster zone which could swamp already flattened towns downstream.
