My friends been asking me why my blog has no update since US trip and all is only about WL. This is because I have been very busy. After I am back from US I have not had a single day I could spend for myself.
(1) Back to Singapore end Feb (2) Jetlag for 8 days - slept at around 7-8 pm daily wake up around 2 to 4 am. (3) Have to attend to early morning conferences for ERP upgrade project once to twice a week (4) Rush to signoff one big project - finally done 20th April (5) Try to keep up with gym, been missing since I had chicken pox. I used to go 4 times a week now only 2-3 times coz too busy (6) During the CSS3 event at Mediacorp 2 sundays ago, I fell and hurt my left hand (bruises and cuts) and hurt my left shoulder. It took me 5-6 days to recover. Been feeling pain over my shoulder, left knee and hand
Since last thursday my 3 overseas friends here for SA event. I have been going out to take them around since Saturday. They are leaving tomorrow, will miss them.
This week my US boss is here for upgrade project meetings, another busy week.
I am flying back to KL May 9th and back May 14th. May 15th my office relocating to 2nd floor. I supposed to take leave in April but because of US trip and project go live, have postpone this a month.
Alin and me. First time we met last year at Taipei I mistaken her
as a guy as she wore men's clothes and wore a cap and also tall for a gal.
These friends from China (Shanghai), Taipei and Malaysia came over to Singapore. They are here for a few days but I could only meet them for the weekend. I know 2 of them through Melody (Taipei) and San. Meeting them again tomorrow (Sat).
We went to Singapore Flyer then dinner at Jumbo Seafood (The Riverwalk). A nice meeting and gathering. Met Orange for first time we chat quite a no of times before. HP joint us for dinner as she could not make it earlier.
This time I was there listen live. The feelings superb! I really want to cry half way through this song. This song is composed by Wei Lian and written by a Malaysian lyricist based in Taiwan.
Well there is always misunderstanding happens everywhere not just at work, among friends also among family members or relatives. So when I read this post from WL this morning I realised well another misunderstanding again ! Well being his loyal fans since PSS1 and having to organized many activities for WLFC, I totally understand what WL means when he post this in his blog "and u all know what! i especially hate something! because! i! still! have! to! sing!! on that night also! and why? i'm sure u all know de la i don't think i need to explain la hor? haha!!!" Few things I like to highlight here: 1) WL posted this statement at his blog as a conversation with his fans. Artistes have freedom to post what they feel and want to say to fans w/o being worried about being judged. Furthermore the statement ended with "haha!!!" something which should not be taken too seriously. There is also nothing said against anyone its just how he felt at that time he posted the entry. 2) As someone who knows WL personally and have communicated with him in organizing WLFC birthday parties etc, I totally understand what WL means. He just don't like to be overly stressed over having to be judged and then later he has to sing and to be judged by others. He rather be just focusing on being judge. But again being a singer how can he hate to sing? He definitely love singing. Well there is always people who misunderstood or get unhappy over such statements. One example I want to quote here is the recent hoo ha by a blog entry comment by Ms Universe over her visit to Guantanamo. Well one thing everyone should take note of is blogs are open to public to read. What I learn from all these incidents will be statements should be made clear so that others who do not know us can understand better of the information posted. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20090402/tts-venezuela-us-guantanamo-people-972e412.html
Well, if everyone knows that there are 8 judges to account for 70% of points for the final 4 finalists, I believe the impact WL has on the contestants should be little and fair. There are other judges who can provide better judgement on stage performance and image/looks. Having one or two judges to focus on vocals that is fair.
The formula is like this:
1/8 X 70= = 8.75 points per judge out of 100
Well I read Paul Chan's blog, there are more positive comments than negative ones so I will look forward to the actual day 12th April.
