華納群星 - 相親相愛
最近华纳唱片号召旗下的中港台新歌手，包括183俱乐部、飞儿乐团、张菲、萧敬腾、徐若瑄、辛晓琪、七朵花、方大同、黑涩会美眉、蔡淳佳、陈伟联、郭美美、薛凯琪、老狼等，同一天进入四地的录音间录制本曲，为四川赈灾出力。

新加坡《绝对Super Star》冠军盲侠陈伟联为震灾到四川义演，金口一开立刻感动全场，感性歌声震撼成都，全场骚动。
新加坡《绝对Super Star》冠军盲侠陈伟联为震灾到四川义演，金口一开立刻感动全场，感性歌声震撼成都，全场骚动。
陈伟联应邀到四川成都义演，这是他首次到成都演出，许多观众事先对他其实还相当陌生，但陈伟联不愧是歌唱冠军，刚一开口就立刻用歌声征服了在场的每一个人，赢得现场约3000名观众的热烈掌声。
陈伟联演唱的是《火柴天堂》及《孤单的夜里不孤单》。先是抱着吉他自弹自唱了《火柴天堂》，就已征服了观众，再接着已感性的声音倾情演绎第二首歌，“盲人歌手”的印象就此深深烙印在每一个观众的心中。除了不断报以热烈的掌声外，记者还在现场听到许多观众议论纷纷，对他赞许有加，夸赞他唱得非常好听。节目后记者也在电梯里听到观众说：“那盲人歌手唱得真好听，我还同他拍了张合照”。
记者找机会向他传达了观众的反应，伟联表示很高兴四川人会喜欢他的歌，他也更加希望能够用自己的歌声感动每一给人灾区的朋友，激励他们早日走出阴影，重建自己的家园。

Today me and my colleagues talk about food price increase. I bought vegetarian beehoon with 2 vege, 1 tofu and 1 egg costs me $3.70 like 0.50 more than usual $3.20. Before petrol price increase, I pay like $2.80-$3.00 for vegetarian beehoon. Now its never below $3.00. Everything is on the increase, food and electricity bills only goes up never down.

2nd American idol winner got married
So surprising to know Reuben Studdard got married. I never hear anything about him having relationship. Anyway wish him a happy and lasting marriage. I just read the news and am totally surprised just as I am surprise Clay Aiken is going to be a father to his manager's child. He donated his sperm for her who wants to be single mother.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The Screen Actors Guild on Wednesday accused major Hollywood studios of offering the union a contract deal worth less than an agreement already approved by the leaders of a smaller actors union.
SAG made the claim amid demands in Hollywood that it end the possibility of a strike or lockout by accepting the same deal as the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
"When we came back to the table, what they offered us, then and since, is tens of millions of dollars less than the AFTRA deal itself," SAG executive director Doug Allen told The Associated Press.
"It's obvious that they are trying to get us to bargain up to a deal they already know is unacceptable," he said.
SAG declined to provide details on the differences between the offers.
The contracts of both unions are set to expire Monday. The lack of a deal has left studios reluctant to greenlight major movie productions.
Jesse Hiestand, a spokesman for the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, declined to comment on the bargaining position of the studios.
"We are approaching the conclusion of the process," he said. "The bargaining continues."
SAG represents 120,000 actors in movies, TV and other media. The TV and radio federation represents 70,000 members, including actors, singers, announcers and journalists. SAG and AFTRA share 44,000 dual members.
SAG president Alan Rosenberg also note that SAG must negotiate terms for actors in movies roles who are not covered by AFTRA
Read this news on Hollywood actors contract ending another new strike going to start with A-list actors Tom Cruise etc. Come on why US likes to have strike. Not only US economy now badly affected by the property loans. Recently the Writer's strike cost US hundreds of millions of income loss for the people affected and the entertainment industry.
Now with this not too sure how long it will last. Please, I do hope this time it will not last too long. I still want to go to movies at least once a month to catch some nice movies. Bad news my favourite "Transformer" Part 2 is now on hold because of this coming strike.
TV drama "24" is already on hold for a year because of writer's strike. I do hope the people in-charge in Hollywood who call for the strike can think properly before they call for another long strike and cause us all to miss movies and people who might not get any pay during the strike.

My new room part I
Today went to Funan IT Mall to get some stuff for my room then I saw cd containers one plastic box can store up to 100 cds. I bought 2 to rearrange my old vcds. I am glad I bought them as my wall cabinets now free up 30% space for me to put other stuff. I pack away the cd covers which took up a lot of space in the storeroom.
Further to this I just rearrange the new plastic containers to corner of my room to make more space for me to walk. I am glad I bought them. Its really saving lots of space. Now I am done with 60% of my room. Another 40% to rearrange. Now I have a cosy bed and room.

Tried to watch the performance since 8 pm but only manage to watch 2 China singers performed. Then later screen went blank. So I wait and wait then decide to play TAG for awhile then realised other fans saw WL perform his 2nd song while I was playing TAG. Sian so long never hear WL sang liao.At last manage to catch when Ah Do came out, then group song. Wah so happy seen WL, GMM and Kelly Poon. There I took photo with my mobile the guy under red arrow is him. Next to him on left is GMM then right is Kelly Poon.
WL voice is at his best form. Very nice, clear and distinct. So happy for him hopefully more China fans will take notice of him. WL Jia Yiu !

Found this video duet between Jeff Chang and Wang Jing Lun.
Honestly Jeff's hairstyle really looks odd and yurkie. After watched his recent concert my impression of him really from good to worst. Now I can only listen to
Jeff singing and not look at him. (Sorry Jeff been long time fan of your songs
but not your looks)
To proof my point below is the worst MV I ever watched. Not only Jeff looked old plump those female in bikinis made him look like old uncle trying to go after young girls (more like male predator). Sorry I hope the director of this MV and his recording label can improve Jeff's looks not spoil his good image.

PSS1 top 8 male vs XG3 top male
I just realised latest episode of Xing Guang 3 PSS1 top 8 male Leon vs Top male
from Singapore Wang Jing Lun. Definitely hard to fight right? Anyway I watched
Wang Jing Lun performance he was more consistent than Sugi but not the best
male in the competition. But his strength is his high notes and his Korean looks
that win him alot of fans. His voice is almost like Jeff Chang but not as strong
and stable. Some of his performance I catch from youtube was not so good.
Anyway wish Wang Jing Lun the best since he represent Singapore and is only male
survive in top 5. My guess he likely will not win as I know there are at least 2 female who
were very strong always score 20 and above and never below throughout competition
while his highest score so far is 20-21. I predict he might be no 3 let's see results in coming month.
From video can see Leon might be rushed for competition just arrived from HK and might not have enough rest to prepare plus the new arrangement for "Forever Love" did not benefit him but rather made him sang pretty badly towards end of the song. At many parts of the performance he sounded almost out of breath and voice sounded much different from his usual
performances. I can only say that this chap never have the luck needed to succeed. He perform
well when not in competition but perform not his best when competing in PSS1 and now XG3.

During my June IT conference, I have attend a 30 mins sharing session which I never regret attended sharing on the Project Management topic. One of my company's best and most experience PM actually lead the session. In my working experience he is the best and most approachable PM I ever met. He never show his anger, always cool and very dilligent and clear in his instructions. Really learnt a lot from him. Share some of the tips here (due to copyright issues I cannot share the whole training here but just pointers) as I promised my friend PT.
Successful PM approach:
•Project Success is the only acceptable conclusion
•Compose a Project Team
–make sure all necessary “core competencies” are involved/consulted
•Communicate (early) project objectives, duration and interruptions to all effected parties
•Create a detailed and sequenced task list (make/update templates for common projects)
–This list must be sufficiently detailed to insure you that if followed success will result
•Study and know the strengths and weaknesses of each project contributor
–This knowledge will govern how you interact with each team member
•Work the list
–Insure each project contributor clearly understands his role and tasks
–Ask questions and follow up until acceptable and timely answers are received
–Work the project from your task list
–Continue to regularly communicate project status to interested and effected parties

Thanks to TJ who helped me to tie this really grateful to him !
This looks like ice-cream plastic container but no. This is 2 in 1 plastic container and stool for me to sit on to use my computer. When open the cover I can put files and alot of other stuff inside very useful and save alot of space.
This is one corner of my room.( Before I rearrange and put them inside the plastic storage)
These are my clothes and bags I hang at window. After HDB upgrade the window glass been replaced and opposite my block people can see me and see what I am doing even if I changing. So I had to hang all these clothes to block their view as well as save space as there is not enough space in the build in wardrobes. After see these pictures u now understand why I need those storage containers. I went to Tampines Ikea the next day to get more to store all my things. Now they are well kept but I still need to spend sometime rearrange and to throw another 15-20% of my things which I do not need anymore.
Its been like 3 years plus I last visited Ikea to purchase cabinets for my books and DVDs/CDs etc. This time I went I found storage containers for me clothes, shoes and other misc items. After staying in Singapore for 10 years I have so many things I cannot explain. Want to throw but somehow felt wasted leh. So I only manage to clear like 10-15% of my things when I should at least clear 30% of them. So I would be very busy coming months to try to pack away old cloths and stuff and see who I can give them away to. The more things I keep the more storage containers I need to purchase and my room will end up having all square plastic storage containers when I should have space to walk.

Kat and Peter open house
Kath and Peter just moved to new place (end block offer) and went over to their new cosy flat. So nice to see newly decorated everything look new and clean. Nice view too. Across their master bedroom oversee the view of a new building @Fusiopolis (Hope I spell it correctly). My Fitness center will have their biggest gym there opening Jul/Aug. Garden family and me invited coz we are old friends. How time flies we know each other like 3 years.
Met didi Dixon first time after he go for his NS. Wah big boy and he lost 20kg. Both of us take photo together. (Cute, I lost 10 and he lost 20 kg). Then two person MIA. One is the most popular female pilot in our gang who always promise to attend but at last no sign of her. Then we have another who has changed mind few times in same day. First suppose be coming then we waited never see her at all. Later sms her she said maybe not coming do not feel well. Then when we want to leave she sms again said she is on her way in cab. Finally she sms again said wont be coming. All this happen in like an hour.

Little Jackpot from Las Vegas
Was looking for souvenirs at shops at Las Vegas then at the cashier saw the amazing mini jackpots. There are 4 sizes in all. More interested in smaller ones so cashier shown me both the smaller sizes. Decided to get the 2nd smallest one as it looked better and had sound when hit the jackpot. It also supports most of the coins in the world. That means you can put coins and pull money will drop. I gave it to my dear friend and he told me he was playing with it and actually placed alot of coins inside. Glad that he liked it. Worth carry it all the way from Las Vegas.

Today is my boss birthday but I forgot. Went out to lunch then 2 of my colleagues want to collect the preorder birthday cake from awfully chocolate. First time I eat cake from this shop and it was good. But I not big fan of chocolate cakes. Good thing is its not too sweet and a little salty in fact. But overall good taste.
When I first interview for this job and met my boss, I thought he was much older but later I found out we are same age just that he was older than me a few months. It could be due to his built and probably he more matured looking most people might take it that he might be older than his age.

Osmonds 50th Anniversary concert - Wow
I had dinner with US boss tonight missed first 30 mins of the concert but managed to catch Marie Osmond sang a few numbers before her brothers took over. Marie still look beautiful but Donny has grown much older. Too bad did not see him when he still young and handsome. They are in their 40s to 60 yet can still sing so well though most of them looked old. Really admire their energy.
After the concert few songs brought my memory back to 70s when I was just few years old I started watching this show with my family who are big fan of them.

Recently noticed MRT always packed especially during working days and morning going to or after work. This latest news on increase passengers for MRT proves it.

Recently WL recommended a new free online game for fans and I tried it myself. I have not played online games before this is my first time and I hooked on to it. Everyday I woke up morning and before go to bed I will play with it for a while. The interesting part is it helped me polish my english and spelling. The game called "Tag" is to form words (anagram).
Now I manage to reach 2000+ points and looking forward to reach 3000+ soon.

Busy, busy and busy
I came back to Singapore on 8th June arrived 5 am morning. Had just 4-5 hours sleep on plane. I just had difficulties sleeping. Pretty bad was home by 6.30am but cannot sleep then I did washing clothes and unpack my luggages. Then I was too tired when at 3pm. I took a nap woke up at like 7.30 pm then go to play with computer and unknowingly I fell and hit my left arm hard on my computer table.
It was so painful and immediately my upper left arm one side was totally black. It was not only painful but looked awful. On monday when I go back to gym my trainer asked what I did how come my arm was blue black looked serious, I told him I hurt myself. It was really unbelievable I could hurt myself.
Last whole week work has been so EXTREMELY busy. I have to clear alot of piled up work. So many production issues. It was really stressful plus not able to get back to Singapore sleeping hours. I slept at 9 pm then woke up 2 am cannot sleep. Mood not so good no patience as I did not sleep enough. But finally I did at last and had 8 hours sleep straight.
Took me 4 days before I finally got back to sleep regular hours but I still feel tired everyday. My trainer recommended I buy almonds to eat to give me strength which I did on saturday at Taka. Hope it does help.

Unpredictable life
Life is so unpredictable. Before I came to know that Molly past away after struggle and fight with cancer.
One week ago I was in US then now I am back. Just read about my friend blog's about her dad past away. I realised we must cherish people close to us while we have the chance and time. If you have not take this chance to call them and tell them you love them.
I take this time to wish my friend's dad "May you rest in peace and may the Lord be with you in heaven."

This is my 3rd time to Las Vegas. First time was in 1997 with old company in Malaysia. Second time was IT conference 2006 when I first join my present company. Now its 3rd time. For this trip me and my Singapore colleagues went to walk to Wynn Hotel and took cab back on 1st day. On 2nd day we went again walk to and from Treasure Island Hotel.
Took alot of photos but as at night it was not very clear I only upload some of them that looks clear. Many night photos turn out bad as I do not have camera with good flash.

On 2nd day in Las Vegas we had few hours group outing. There are 5 choices to choose from and many of my IT colleagues chosen "Hoover Dam rafting". It was the only outdoor activity and I never regret it. Our 2 company coaches brought us to one of the hotel near Hoover Dam where we went into another 2 buses and there were tour guides to explain us the history of Hoover Dam and how it was built. The old man who was both our bus driver and tour guide was both humorous and knowledgable. He told us that everyday there are workers going to the Hoover Dam area to work in trucks. Our bus should take us there safely, if not then we are "damn lucky" :) Each of us has to sign a letter of consent if anything were to happen to us before we can go on the buses.
There were about 60 of us went for the tour and we had 2 rafts to take all of us. One of my Singapore team mate had a fall while walking down the hill towards the boat. Her fall made a loud "bump" sound many of us were shocked. I thought some big rock drop from the hill as the Hoover dam surrounding was full of rocks from old volcano abruptions. Then I realised it was my colleague she has some cuts over one of her arm and knee but no major injuries. A male colleague helped her got up and then we continue our tour and sight seeing.
I was lucky though as the raft I chosen was handled by a young man, our tour guide who was great in explaining everything about the history of Hoover Dam and also drove pretty fast. In between we had water splashing into the raft. Though weather was hot but the water from the dam was extremely cold. Everyone screamed whenever there are boats or raft passing us after two times we seem to enjoy it. Some of the staff specially request tour guide to make the splash purposely. The other raft seems to be more slower since the tour guide was much older and they enjoyed less than our group :p
At the end of the tour, a few staff share tip of USD20 and give it to the raft tour guide. It was such a wonderful experience. We all enjoyed despite the hot weather.
