Recent updates from friends Singapore and overseas
Past week I have been really sick down with flu and cough. Whole month of October has been really busy and crazy with holidaying in Hong Kong (Oct 5th to 8th with WLFC friends, votings for Singapore chinese charts and many other stuff. Its really very very busy month. Did not really contact any friends. When I was back from Hong Kong Oct 8th, I arrive home around 9 pm. Tried to contact Chan Chan but seem unable to reach her. Told myself I must call her again. Next day I tried again unable to reach her, following thatit seems that I am bogged down with work forgot about it till mid-October when I was later confirmed with Novyta she has left for Germany. Well, as usual my short memory.
After somewhere mid-October bad news from my ex colleague Cecilia whom informed me through sms that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I am really shocked. She was so health conscious, always exercise, go regular medical checkups. Sad............. I tried to contact her but was asked not to due to inconvenience. Well, as usual I have really short memory. Later I was busy with stuff in office and WLFC activities forgot LOL. Finally when I recover from flu remind myself to check on Cecilia, well seemed that it was too late. I received this sad sms on Sunday 10/11 night that Cecilia has left us to be with the Lord :(
I was rather angry at myself for not remembering to contact Cecilia before it was too late.
Cecilia,
I pray to the Lord that you will be in peace, I will always remember you the great time we spent in CSM. Thank the Lord for our wonderful friendship.
Amen.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I sent a message to Chan Chan. She replied me with the link to her blog. Its amazing, now everyone has personal blog. I can get updates from her through her blog. Have added the link to this blog :)
Well, I cannot imagine having such a small washing machine. Is it really a washing machine? Look like blender to me :P
Chan Chan take care of yourself ok? You are alone in a foreign land. I read about your new jobscope. Not to worry before I work in BRCM, I was told I had to handle B2B projects. Now I am working 1.5 years in this new company but I am still only worked on EDI projects nothing on B2B as yet. Supporting Peoplesoft ERP initially was a bit alien to me as totally different platform, very web. But after 3 months it seems slowly I am able to adapt to the new software. If I go back to support Oracle ERP I believe I have to start all over again.
If I am a few years younger I believe I will take the challenge to work further in Europe or US. But now, I believe I won't want to travel any further than Singapore.
