Wei Lian being mentioned in Mediacorp artiste Ng Hui's blog
Ng Hui and her mother was there for the rehearsals and recordings of the recent MC program. Below is what I copied directly from her blog dated 5th May:

I finally had the chance to hear Chen Wei Lian sing live last night...

Not just once but 3 times because of the so many rounds of ‘unneccesary’ rehearsals we had to go through. Poor guy, it must have been taxing on his vocal chords.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the experience...

As I watched on and listened hard to the lyrics, I thought to myself, “Boy, it must have been tough on you to be robbed away of your sight at such a young age...” And then I turned to my mum who was sitting right next to me and said to her, “I bet he must have been a really positive person with a really strong mind who listens and believes in himself a lot.”

“Of course!” my mum replied, “one will get used to it (she meant losing his sight) eventually...”

“Oh yeah but I am definite that it must have been because of the strength and willpower he had in him that brought out the best of whatever’s remaining. I mean to be facing so many people without the ability to look right into their eyes? He really had to learn to listen hard and decipher within himself what’s right and what’s wrong, who’s good and who’s not, and at the same time still stay true to his very own soul isn’t it? That must have been really tough getting used to, I am sure.”

My mum nodded and we continued to enjoy the beautiful tunes...

Very often, WE take many things for granted.

We are born with a pair of eyes but we don’t take good care of them enough.
We are born with a pair of ears but we don’t use them well enough.
We are born with a functioning brain but we don’t think it right enough.
We are born with a functioning heart but we don’t feel it deep enough.

It happens to ME too :p

I see YOU, I hear YOU, I feel YOU...
All the time.
But I think it is not good enough.
Now I want to do that better.
For you to see ME, hear ME and feel ME even more...

I am working on it :)
