Its been like 3 months since my last trip back Malaysia. Its a right time to go back as I really need a break. So busy at work with a big project going on and has not had good sleep for weeks. So much stress to get work finished before leave for my vacation. I am glad I came back feeling more relaxed and refresh but I am sure from tomorrow this gonna change.
Things I did during my one week:
1. Completed 3 TVB dramas
2. Renewed my international passport within 3 hours
3. Spend quality time with family, esp my parents
4. Celebrated my 2nd sister's birthday
5. Watched olympics (mainly badminton and swimming)
6. Went to gym twice
7. Went shopping at Subang Parade twice
8. Met 2 friends
I really felt this whole week was worth it. The last time I went back Malaysia for a week was during CNY in Feb. Usually I go back for 3-4 days only.
I am glad that the Immigration office has improved its service that now for renewal of international passport can get it within same day.
Those who want to renew their Malaysian passport, you can do it in Malaysia be at the office before 3 pm. There is a machine in a small room that you can pay and get passport renew then come back in 2 hours to counter 13 to collect passport. This is done at the old Subang airport the location is right before Terminal 3 left turn you can see green sign on right that shows the immigration office. Its quite small but fast.
Other than this I find that the Malaysian restaurants now full of foreigners. Cannot imagine how they can take orders when most of them those from Vietnam and Myanmar cannot even speak a word of Malay or English. One of them tried taking my order only to go find a more senior Filipino staff to talk to me. In Singapore we will see alot of Filipinos in service industry esp cinemas and restaurants/fast food or department stores. But Malaysia now has a high increase of Myanmar and Vietnamese.
The KTM train was so full and pack with people after the petrol hike. I tried pump my sister's small car used to pay RM30+ for full tank. I pump RM49 for 2/3 of tank. I am shocked. Anyway I only drove once to KL and glad I do not need to pump so many times for petrol.
Other things I gained from my trip:
1. A lot of mosquito bites on my both hands and legs
2. Catch up on Malaysian badminton players. Never watch for past 7 years. Did not know Malaysia still have strong male single and doubles players. Too bad doubles lost in qtr finals.
