China - Blind male contestant won singing contest
I was going through news at xin.sg and was surprised by this news. China this year has its own Xing Guang Bang singing competition. A male blind contestant named Yang Guang won overall champion. He is 27 years old male from Ha Er Ping. Its interesting that outside Singapore there is another blind contestant winner. He was blind since 8 months old wrote own song for singing in the competition.

盲人选手 《星光大道》摘桂冠8 January 2008 来自哈尔滨的盲人选手杨光，以《我是你的眼》勇摘《星光大道》年度总冠军。此次胜出，也让他获得直通2008年央视春节晚会的入场券。 杨光在接受访问时，以“有惊无险”总结自己比赛中表现的评语。杨光表示，赢得比赛，并且可以在春节晚会中演出，是大家梦寐以求的事，身为盲人选手的他，将非常珍惜这一次难能的机会。 在总决赛当晚，他患了重感冒，声音明显不妥。不过，他没有透露生病事宜，只希望公平地参加比赛。
